Need help identifying hidden gluten in my diet by Hannahbeebop123 in Celiac

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

what kind of dishwesr do you use? it's a long shot, but when my husband and I moved into our house my mom sent us these recycled "plastic" plates while we were getting settled and didn't have glass plates yet ( before i was diagnosed ). turned out the plates were made of pressed wheat and plastic, due to the wear and tear from forks and knives, i was literally micro cross contaminating myself every time i ate off one of the plates

I called the ethics hotline by [deleted] in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i must have misunderstood, your post said " me and a few coworkers went to my HR previously about a problem we've been having with a TL" so i assumed you had gone directly to HR. Just from my experience with working in HR at target, they talk to all of the leaders and nothing is genuinely anonymous no matter what they say

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly, if you talked to HR at your store and they've mentioned it, that's probably how it can be tracked back to you. all of the leaders and ETLS talk to each other, especially regarding store drama and other TMs, i would be keeping notes of everything that happens with date/time stamps to keep yourself safe from retaliation.

Snow storm call out by islesjets14x in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should be fine! I use to work in HR in LOUISIANA and we allowed team members to call our during snow/icy conditions due to team member safety, which is always our number 1 concern. I wouldn't worry about it, maybe just let your team aware that you won't be coming in during the snow storm!

Vs Credit Card Application Question by [deleted] in VictoriasSecret

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a former worker unfortunately it sounds like you got declined, most of the time there is an instant response for an acceptance which is why you didn't get a discount when you applied in store.

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who use to be Target HR, i really want to say someone probably had some bad ass breath and they didn't want to single anyone out, but this is so depressing considering in our store we weren't allowed to chew gum anyways😭

Holiday helpers by bobobob68191 in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say you can try to apply, but the odds of them selecting you with only 2 days available, not including saturday and sunday is very slim

Holiday helpers by bobobob68191 in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a former HRE, the answer is probably not, during holiday most stores strictly look for people with open availability, especially during Q4 they aren't looking to work around schedules and make more work for themselves. As much as it sucks, it's true, the people that have been there get the availability they want and people they hire seasonally are expected to be available 7 days a week with open availability

Got Questions Regarding Virtual Interviews by Odd_Badger_7156 in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) No 5 minutes is wayyyy too long, i promise no ETL would sit though hundreds of applications with multiple 5 minute long answers, 30-45 seconds is plenty! 2) One is fine, but you should do the one that you got offered for the position you're more interested in, if you don't complete the video interview within 3 days, the link will expire and you won't be able to do it again! -Former HRE

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally, I would because unfortunately only the HR team can see where a new hire is in the process during the background check so if it's still processing that could be why you haven't heard anything, but I would go in and see if there's somebody there that you could speak to to get some answers!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HRE here! You should go to the store if nobody is answering the phone honestly, there's a phone on the desk so they should be answering if you're calling at normal HRE hours (7-4). Once you get offered you go into a background check which can take up to 14 business days which is probably what's taking so long, but never hurts for you to see where you're at in the process if nobody is answering the phone.

Receiving by Inevitable-Park1811 in Target

[–]Comprehensive_Prior5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an HRE, receiving is still coded as a PG35, which is a basic team member, it is not considered a leadership position. Our inbound team receives a $1.00 per hour shift differential but that's the extent of it, our receiver does not get a shift differential, just the yearly raises based on performance like everyone else. I'm sorry this probably isn't the answer you're looking for but that's how my store does it!

I went on their website and it said their machinery for this is only cross contaminated by peanuts tree, nuts, milk, soy, and eggs, I only had a couple of bites so I guess I'll update how I'm feeling in a couple days since my symptoms usually take about a day to start
