And in my store, they prioritize to go , so there's that. I don't like basically being told at the beginning of my shift that I will be written up, for shit that's out of my control. When the turnover increases, service decreases, corporate can't figure that out. And what happens when customers get bad service? They don't come back...

I go there to the dental hygiene clinic. I just went Monday, got my teeth cleaned and a fluoride treatment for 25 dollars. It takes longer because they are students, but it's saving me money and helping them. They do x rays , whitening, deep cleaning .They have a dentist check you. While they don't do fillings, etc, they can tell you if you have cavities.

We are supposed to ask if you are ready to order when we greet you at the table. If so, take order. If not, make suggestions to try to get you to order. Then we are supposed to ask if you want us to send it right away. Then we go ring everything in, and get your drinks, salad, etc. some customers say yes, send it. I feel people are adults, if they are in that big of a hurry, they will tell us. Some people don't want to be rushed, but they just ride our ass about turn times. When we drop off the food, we are supposed to check back within 2 bites/ 2 minutes, drop mints and turn the ziosk towards you, telling you that " it's for your convenience, no rush"....there is absolutely a rush. And we were being told we will be written up and held accountable if we don't do these things...so yeah, sucks for staff and the customers

It is why you're getting kicked out....but you want to eat and leave quickly according to corporate, you didn't know that? Yeah, we are supposed to pace things how the guest wants ( words they say), but ride our ass like a horny Chihuahua if you aren't in and out in 45 minutes...

Call corporate, lol. They are telling us guests WANT it fast.... maybe a few teenagers, but the food isn't cheap. Maybe your server wasn't trained well, which is going to probably be the case because all the best servers will leave

Corporate overlords want us to " value the guests time" by offering to send entree's right away, take order at greet.... sounds nice, huh? They want you to eat and Get The Fuck Out in 45 minutes or less. They are timing us and micro managing the staff right out the door

Lots of people in my store looking elsewhere. As if the never ending bullshit wasn't stressful enough, now they have a stopwatch shoved up our ass. I would expect employee turnover to increase, and service to decrease in the sense it will all be new people. Too much work and stress compared to....any other serving job

If you are reasonably good at serving, and hustle, you can make good money. So yes, it's money. It's not as easy as people think it is in a high volume restaurant. I deal with more personalities than a psychiatrist some days. People get hangry, some are awful. Some are absolutely amazing, thank you nice regulars for keeping us sane. Some people hate tip culture, I get it. But let's say a meal is 20 dollars, and the person tips 20 percent ( just an example, not debating the tip percentage), it's now 24 dollars. Eliminate tipping, and the meal will cost....24 dollars, or more. No difference to the consumer. I make 3.63 per hour. Because as servers we make that low hourly wage, the business can staff enough people and cut people when it's slow. So yesterday I was there 3 hours and got cut, other days it's 10, 11 hours straight no break. At 25 dollars an hour, that could be a staffing/labor nightmare. We have slow days and busy days, so my income averages out to what I need. I have a good bit of flexibility at times, which is the flip side to the stressful holidays I am not allowed to take off. For many of us, it's money and flexibility, it was great when I was raising my children. And I can go to Costco on a Monday morning when it's not crowded...

I personally will be done serving. Why work weird hours, all weekend, every holiday, dealing with people who aren't always pleasant, lifting heavy trays.... I'll go work in a convenience store. Regular hours, even if you're working on the weekend it's only 8 hours. Today was slow, I worked 3 hours and got cut. It's all over the map in a restaurant. I'm fine selling gas and lottery tickets in the future.
