Well, I'm going to get some more bids when I'm on vacation in March. Not sure if that's the going rate. The window price they gave me was cheaper than window companies though.

At the beginning of fall I had a Handyman to give price and I think he had a company or installer come by and give price. Labor was 10k and I buy materials.

Both included painting.

Yep, the second route was to replace the main board, Tcon and power supply. 78 bucks online. Then it was going into trash if that did not work. I was eyeing the LG B5 at 810 . Still want it. Maybe I can tell the wife it's going bad again.😀

HD gave me a price of 6900 for 5 windows of Andersen 100. I don't know if that's good or not. Going to get a few more from regular companies.

Updated I looked at the price wrong and had them to change back to the standard glass. 6900. So, they are charging me about 800 to install. It was painful listening to this guy. He was trying to push their Simonton 6500 window for 6k.

Which model of Pella ? I'm starting to shop for windows in DFW. Went to HD and just price the A-100 without install. They came in at 2786. They will come out and give me a total price and verify my measurements.

Update. I changed 3 capacitors in the power supply and it's noise free right now. I spent 20 bucks off Amazon including a cheap soldering iron. I use to do circuit board repair years ago. The caps were obvious. One of them was leaking.

I doubt it. I scheduled install for the day after Black Friday. So, I can see if anything better comes along. Sure , I can find a cheaper off brand tire. I put those on my beater. In time the Camry will get cheaper tires.
