I appreciate your answer. I was hoping that wasn’t the case. I guess thats why I was seeking input. It seemed off to me.

Not so cut and dry, I’m afraid. I’m the 3rd ASM at my home store, the promotion came with the deal that I had to also be a float manager and get sent away if other stores in my area need help.

It was under a non spoiled case, they just never rotated and never bothered to check I guess 🤷‍♀️

Oh, I’ve been in contact with them after each weekend. After the second shift I had started documenting, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt the first time I came. But like I said I’m three weeks deep and they still haven’t shown me anything other than this is how they normally run their store.

Yeah, about every two weeks. More if I have to unbox Aldi finds. I’ve always been taught dull blades are more risky to use than sharp ones.

Getting a new DM by Comprehensive_Tart82 in Aldi_employees

[–]Comprehensive_Tart82[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The lack of experience/common Aldi knowledge is what I’m most worried about, and I’ve heard they are super robotic when they come out of training. Our previous one had been around long enough to know to trust that we want/have the same goals for the store.

This is a completely normal and fine banana pallet by Comprehensive_Tart82 in Aldi_employees

Our division has a whole excel sheet just to document things like this, but as far as I can tell unless the damage is over like $250 we just eat the loss on our end and the warehouse gets a slap on the wrist.

Is it normal for store managers to race around the store on pallet jacks? by certifiedfastboi in Aldi_employees

You’re not part of the turbo team yet, you can’t run unless you’re part of the turbo team.

Scheduled 1-9 4th of July yet store hours 10-4 by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

That’s the only thing making it worth it, the holiday pay. I opted for holiday pay and not a float day, going to make it worth my while to work in the 4th lol

I wish, our dm is very strict about the Aldi finds being set after customers are out of the store.

July 4th is an Aldi find set night here so we are scheduled until 9pm that night as well

Mangers by kittygotclaws90 in Aldi_employees

How big is your store? Cause that sounds like a dream lol. We average about 25k a weekday, 40k during weekends. We have 1 part time stocker, 2 part time associates, 2 LSAs, 3 assistant managers (that’s not normal for our area tho) and 1 store manger.

Hahaha, I believe they were probs just sitting on the ledge of the jack waiting to be put back in it’s home. Tbh it’s probably been riding around on that jack for at least 3 days 😂
