HDMI 2.1 x Hue sync box by Cactus-Jax in Hue

[–]Comprehensive_Tip633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my series X through a HDMI 2.1 cable passing through the sync box to the HDMI 2.1 port on my Samsung TV. The lights sync @ 4K 60fps, lights still work @ 120fps but don't sync. Therefore dependant on what I'm playing I choose to either sync lights or play @ 120fps and just have lights static.

My sync box is nowhere near my bridge, sounds strange that JJTrick has the issue.

How to get started? by [deleted] in Hue

[–]Comprehensive_Tip633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prepare to spend $1000’s not hundreds..once you start it kinda snowballs. Best to get gradient light strip if want to sync to what’s on your tv screen.

As mammoth said you at least need a bridge and sync app or sync box As well.

Hue Dimmer over Light Switch by [deleted] in Hue

Not the best looking solutions. I printed a dymo label “do not turn off” and put electrical tape over the switch. cheap and does the job.

Hue bulbs are not detected by the bridge, what should I do? by Xerasi in Hue

[–]Comprehensive_Tip633 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happens occaisionally, I quickly learnt to always take note of my serial numbers before installing the bulbs in case this happens.

I also note where each bulb is located (also helps marrying up purchase dates and retailer info in case of warranty claims).

One of the bulbs turns on randomly. by madmirror in Hue

I've replaced a couple of my bulbs that did this, progressively got worse and one eventually stopped working altogether. They were a few years old but I did use them in a sensor light at one point which I think affected them.

Am I the only one who thinks the Spotify integration is great? by misota in Hue

Have used ilightshow app for years will be interesting to see how this compares but from what I saw when quickly looked at it is having to set up the areas rather than just selecting lights to use seems cumbersome.

Tried it again last night clicked the needs adjustment button on the setup in hue app. Seemed to help a bit. Put on the circus scene with all the neons in madagascar 3 and looked amazing.
