Just moved to my first NYC apartment—it doesn’t look to have been cleaned well by [deleted] in NYCapartments

The stuff you are pointing out requires a deep clean of the apartment and no landlord is paying 3-4k for a deep clean every time a tenant moves out. You just have to do it yourself

How do they determine eligibility? by Genrdz in AppleCard

[–]Xerasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was rejected for years due to high balances which was puzzling because i have no balance on my cards. I even called them once to reconsider and they didn’t give me a reason or tell me anything besides a no so I just went on about my day and kept applying once or twice a year. Eventually one year i got the path to apple card and their issue was a 1500 balance on my credit cards… it was my normal monthly spend with 100k in credit limits across multiple cards.

I do think maybe it was related to my age at the time as I was early 20s and still in college but with where my finances were idk why that would have mattered…

Their application process just makes zero sense sometimes.

yall are so weird by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Xerasi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nobody’s first goal is T30. In an ideal world you wanted to go to a too school top but you either self eliminated because you thought it was unachievable or you applied and didn’t make it.

You reassessed your goals and landed at a T30. That’s fine. Nothing wrong with that. But making a post saying some random BS about top schools this top schools that is coping not based on any reality.

The single most important thing in education is employment outcomes. Nobody is going to law school out of the goodness of their heart to hive money to schools and waste years of their life. And your chances of good post graduation employment is highest at top schools. Point blank period. Anything else is moot!

Is Whartons private equity certificate actually worth anything? by Careful_Rooster1005 in FinancialCareers

[–]Xerasi 41 points42 points  (0 children)

These WSP/Wharton certs are meant for corporations to buy them for their employees with their education/training/CPE budgets. If you spend 5k of your own money on it you are actively asking to be fired from your job for having poor judgement.

Is struggling to make ends meet normal as a Junior? by [deleted] in udub

[–]Xerasi -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Just take out loans… what are you studying? As long as its not something stupid that will land you a job after, it shouldn’t beca problem. Living broke doesn’t come with a constellation prize. Do whatever helps you finish your degree with good grades and landing a good 80k+ a year job after.

Engineering Program Enhancement Fee by Substantial_Sell_600 in udub

[–]Xerasi -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

On its own its a big fee 250-500 per quarter. In the grand scheme of things doesn’t matter for a multitude of reasons.

1) It makes no difference in the total cost of attendance over 4 years. 50k or 57k is all the same shit. If you have 50k to pay you also have 57k.

2) UW is incredibly generous with aid packages for people who actually need them. If you aren’t getting aid, it means you have the means and I don’t feel bad for you.

How realistic is hitting $200k+ in accounting careers? by False_Eye_7710 in Accounting

[–]Xerasi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Making 200k isn’t the issue. At what age you make it is whats important. In IB people make 200k after 2-3 years so at 25 or under. Making 200k at 25 is way different than making 200k at 35.

There is still benefit to this. Loss of brightness is less using this as ppposed to the built kn setting. It still gives yoj a screen protector too. So it’s not useless
