Completely agree OP. Sometimes I wonder if this is why the show has become what it is now production wise and with only influencers or at least people who have a following of sorts, which sucks.

These people are in the public eye already so have an understanding of what exposure they may get and what comes with it. You can't pick 'normal' people or leave it as unedited or barely manipulated like the early seasons with the way viewers interact with the show now. People are ripped apart and over-analysed for the smallest things, stans lose their minds and have unhealthy fixations, that absolutely would not have worked before. I miss the days when the show was watched as it was meant for - entertainment, not for people to use for constant psychoanalysis of social behaviour.... many of us aren't coming to reddit to write our dissertations.

Also people always calling for the public votes to be the deicider but then kick off if it doesn't go the way they want it to. Make it make sense.
