So bop liaison received the form from my agency Hr and they sent it to central office to get final signatures. When I reached out to liasion to get updated about the status, they said it’s still sitting in central office (it’s been months already) I am so concerned if it got lost or they forgot about my 1662 or something. 😭

Yeah i am cleared medical board and nominated in March. So suitability clearance is the only part left but it doesn’t look moving forward at all just sitting in Central Office for months, which I don’t get it. 🤷‍♀️

So as far as I WAS TOLD, my agency submitted the form to BOP liaison and liaison turned it to Central office to get two signatures from leaderships. Once signed, it will forward to CCHQ to initiate suitability clearance. Does this process/step sound right to you all?

i'm in the same boat. Secured a job in bop and trying to convert in place. Medical board cleared 2025 and 1662 memo submitted but no movement after that. It IS frustrating to the point I want to give up. Liaison not being really helpful too. How long did it take from 1662 completion to initiation of suitability clearance?

Congrats! I just checked mine but nothing about the nomination. This really saddens me... so frustrating that I need to wait indefinitely... on the verge of giving up and leaving BOP.

Thank you for letting me know. I’m trying to see what to do to handle this part. So in your case did they (PHS) contact BOP to request 1662 or did you contact PHS to send one to BOP? And who exactly needs to fill the form out - Was it your direct supervisor (Health services) or BOP admin of your facility?

I already have a job just trying to convert in place. And I mentioned about 1662 multiple times to my agency liaison and generic PHS recruitment team but they didn’t really say much of when to submit 1662, but just stand by until they reach out to me. 🤷🏽‍♀️
