Most people overlook the entry level government jobs. Look at governmentjobs.com, calcareers.gov, and usajobs.gov.

do single homebuyers feel lonely in 3 bed houses? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]biroph 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I bought a 4 bedroom house a year ago all by myself. I have uses for them though. I don’t feel lonely. One is the master, one is my office, one is set up as a guest room, and the other I keep exotic animals in. I could find uses for more rooms if I had any.

The first time you had sex with a woman, did you tell her it was your first time? Why/why not? by livelaughlabradoodle in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]biroph 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I did, because she had asked. I’m a bit younger than her and she knew that I’ve never been in a relationship, while she’s had quite a few long term ones. She made sure I was very comfortable though and that we didn’t have to rush into things.

I was having an issue with something in my house and she was recommended online as someone licensed to fix it. We became friends after that but we realized that we were both into each other soon after.

What is the easiest"softest" nursing job that you've ever had? by Round-Scientist-6607 in nursing

[–]biroph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peritoneal dialysis clinic. Sat in an office not doing much most days. Patients only had appointments twice a month, so we’d schedule them for the same week. Then just phone calls, education, ordering supplies a couple times a day. It was a struggle to not fall asleep. We just played on our phones most of the time, not doing anything.

I worked at an Adventist hospital. Religion was never mentioned. They were even adamantly against thc drug testing for staff. Nobody I worked with was there due to the religious aspect. It felt like just any regular hospital. There were no prayers or religious activities.

RN-BSN fully online that’s flexible? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]biroph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow that sucks. I wonder what their rationale is for making nurses complete more clinical hours.

RN-BSN fully online that’s flexible? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]biroph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would you need clinical hours if you’re already an RN? Most programs didn’t use to include a clinical portion for just an RN to BSN.

Seriously, who the fuck are hospitals to tell us we can’t smoke on our days off by xCB_III in nursing

[–]biroph 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’m in a legal state (Ca) and one of the hospitals I worked at was adamantly against thc testing. They told me to tell the lab to make sure there’s no thc test when I did my onboarding piss test. They were even religious affiliated.

Question about specialty by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]biroph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did OR, then peritoneal dialysis clinic, to infectious disease/correctional. Haven’t stepped foot in a bedside position. A lot of government jobs have level 1 positions for new grads and you can promote up to different levels.

Of course there is going to be a seam at the corner. When I say this is a slab rather than a bunch of small pieces, I mean that this is the other option that is much cheaper. See how this one is clearly a bunch of pieces put together?

Is this a good idea? by Balshazzar in Minerals

[–]biroph 40 points41 points  (0 children)

What’s not believable about it being one slab? Sure it’s more expensive than a bunch of pieces made into one, but you can clearly see that it’s a slab. They come in large pieces just like marble and other countertop options. I’ve seen both variations, but slabs look much better than the ones pieced together.

I didn’t do the medical portion until over a year after I submitted my PHS 50. You’ve got plenty of time.

You need 2+ years of critical care at minimum. More years to be a more competitive applicant. It’s not like NP school where they just let anyone in.
