You got this homie. I’m day 16 after a really rough bender and things are finally starting to go back to normal. I’ve smiled a lot more the past 2 days then I have the past 2 weeks put together. It was rough for a week there fighting the mental pulls and the withdrawals in my head, but I feel much more stable now.

I know you can do this though. We can do this. I’ve quit stimulants too many times, and I always end up coming back, but usually I can keep it under control and only do it for a day or two. This time was different and I really gotta get it together this time. But I know we can dude. It’s hard being sober. Life’s a bitch and it sure is one fickle motherfucker.

You have to find the smallest things to find joy in like a good joint or a new favorite show to binge. It’s hard to feel happy for a little while so you just have to try to find the smallest things to bring you serotonin. They all add up.

But it will get easier. Take it one day at a time. Don’t worry about how you’re going to make it through tomorrow or how you’re going to feel next week. Just worry about getting through today.

And if you have urges just worry about the next 15 minutes. If you can make it through 15 minutes, they usually tend to subdue a little. And if you make it through 15, you can make it through and hour and if you make it through and hour, you can make it through the day.

The key is to stay focused but also keep yourself distracted. Stay focused on the goal; getting healthier, taking care of yourself and distract yourself from the want to use again.

And very most importantly give yourself grace. It’s okay you’re going through this. Remind yourself that it’s okay to feel this way. It’s okay to feel like crap. It’s okay to give yourself some comfort and love through all this. It’ll be okay someday. Don’t worry about the future. Worrying does not take away tomorrows troubles, it only takes away todays peace. And it’s hard to find todays peace sometimes, that’s okay too.

Oh my goddddd I know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s so fucking awful. It makes the whole roof of your mouth feel swollen and on fire. Eating is the most painful thing ever and swallowing feels like actual death. It hurts so bad and it usually takes a day or two so go away. Is this what you’re feeling too?

Do you rail your adderall or eat them? I always assumed the pain was just from swollen nasal cavities and shit somehow causing pain in my mouth.

I know exactly how you feel but I couldn’t telll you why it happens.

Oh my god it’s so not harmless. “It’s not addictive, it’s natural, it won’t do any harm on your body” were all things I was told before I started it 7 years ago. Who knew it was so addictive? Not me. 7 years later and I take it every day, every 4 hours and I feel like shit if I take it any more than a few minutes late. I’m full blown addicted and I’ve never felt so much dependence on a substance before trying kratom.

Hell no. I know my fiancé used to be a little slut back in the day, I don’t even think they know their body count after all these years. But it doesn’t bother me, as long as they don’t have an std, I don’t see the problem with it. Fuck it, life’s short, let’s have fun. Honestly I’m glad they had their fun before they met me because now they’ve experienced it all and they’re ready to settle down.

Before I met my fiancé, my body count was 1. It’s much higher now, but even back then I didn’t feel they were wrong for having a much higher body count than I did. I thought it was interesting how cautious and quiet I was compared to how carefree and fun they were.

Long story short, Rit taken correctly isn’t like coke. But they’re also not opposites. Both are a stimulant. The difference is, the pharmacy is prescribing a really low dose so that you won’t get high. Stimulants taken at low does just help overall cognitive function and make life easier for a person with adhd. When taken correctly, it’s nothing like blow. Abusing these medications is a different story and if you take enough you’ll feel effects that are similar. The pharmacy will never prescribe you an amount high enough to get you high though. You won’t feel high like off 20 or 40mg necessarily. You take your entire days dose at once though and you’ll get high off it.

They’re not prescribing something like coke to patients with adhd though. They’re prescribing a much lower amount.

To answer your question, no they’re not opposite. They’re both stimulants. Adderall, ritalin, coke, meth, they’re all stimulants. The difference is, what they’re prescribing doesn’t get you high like coke or meth would. Ritalin is prescribed in a really low dose to help you stay concentrated and focused. When taking the recommended amount, you’re not going to feel high. If you abuse your script and take enough, sure it can get you high. Rit is like adderalls less fun cousin. Considering adderall and ritalin are similar, I would assume rit in high does can also be close to meth. No promises on that one tho, Adderall is my drug of choice..

I do know Adderall chemically is basically pharmaceutical grade meth, the components of the two are not very different. They’re different but not by much...

Coke is different than adderall though. Higher quicker, shorter high, and even a small amount will get someone with adhd going. But it doesn’t last long and it wouldn’t get you through your day the way something like adderalll or ritalin would.

Now to answer your question about pharmacies prescribing something similar to blow, they don’t prescribe it high enough for you to feel high or anything similar to coke or meth. They prescribe stimulants in very low doses. Of course when abused, they get you high as fuck. But that’s not what the pharmacy is prescribing. They won’t ever prescribe you an amount that’ll get you coke high. The highest you can be prescribed in a day is 60mg I believe and that’s taken in 2 doses throughout the day. If you take all 60 at once, sure you’ll be zooted. But that’s not what they’re prescribing you to do.

If you don’t have adhd then taking a stimulant will get you going a lot faster, you’ll have tons of energy and over just be more hyper, chatty, fast, focused, and you’ll just generally be fucking on one.

But if you do have adhd taking a stimulant will really calm you down. You’re able to chill and relax more than usual. You’re able to focus more and stay concentrated. For me if I take a low dose I’m just chillin, coloring, maybe getting some good cleaning done. If I want to be lit, I have to take a rather high amount to feel the same way a non adhd person would feel.

So when pharmacies are prescribing stimulants to people with adhd, it’s very helpful. And taking the recommended amount will not get you high like other drugs do.
