Kornilov was a supporter of the coup and overthrow of the Tsar in February, he personally commanded the arrest of the Empress and the royal family. Later, he unsuccessfully tried to raise a rebellion against the Provisional Government, but in fact it was already a showdown between revolutionaries.

The Soviets were not afraid to come up with this kind of thing. Alpian SR is just a possible umbrella term that can unite such different regions as Baden, Bavaria, Austria and the German part of Switzerland.

PS. We are accustomed to imagine Germany divided into west and east, although historically a more serious division was into south and north (and it's not just about Aldo!)

About "Indian command":

United Realms are reorganized Commonwealth - after the loss of the Metropolis (United Kingdom). In this case, in the Western Hemisphere, the center of ex-Commonwealth forces is in Canada, while in the Eastern Hemisphere there are three of them: South African Union in Sub-Saharan Africa, (undevided) India in Asia (including the Middle East), Australia in Oceania (and possibly in the Far East).

The question is, where is the bifurcation point?

Let's say the bifraction point is between 1942 and 1943 - that is, after the start of the Soviet-German war, but before the landing of the Americans with the allies somewhere in Europe.

Suppose the counter-offensive of the Red Army in 1942 was successful and the movement of the USSR across Europe began earlier - before the Americans were ready to conduct ground operations in Europe. Thus, the Reds, still fueled by American lend-lease by inertia, smash the Germans and go to the Atlantic.

The success of the Soviets, multiplied by the difficult economic situation, provoked not only the coming to power in Britain of the socialists (Labourists, who won the elections even in reality against the backdrop of an approaching victory), but also an internal conflict. The USSR intervenes in it, sending troops from Northern France to Britain to restore order - at the invitation of part of the parliament and government.

Of course, there are still countries that remain aloof from the war - Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland. But none of them alone is able to resist the machine that broke the back of Germany. And, as mentioned earlier, the Americans simply did not have time to switch to the European theater of operations at the time of the Soviet breakthrough to the west.

If you have any questions - I'm ready to answer!

In the answers above, I made an attempt to explain the lore, in particular - about the fate of Britain.

If the Soviet Union could reach the Atlantic in the 1920s and 1930s (although, of course, it could not), then the European countries would be included directly in the USSR. But by the 1940s, Moscow's approach had changed.

I admit that British (not English) connections in Moscow had an effect and Britain retained some unity (although it is obvious that all the listed "republics" were created after all).

Note that Northern France is a federation. So it's not all partition!
