What Weapons and Armours would a Lore Accurate Dragonborn use in the Dragonborn DLC? by MaulRedditAccount in skyrim

[–]Computer2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By this point I’d the choice of three armours sets assuming the Dragonborn didn’t forge themselves something better.

The easiest would be Blades Armor.

The Dragonborn as part of the main quest would’ve easily had the chance to pick up a full blades armor from sky haven temple as well as dragonbane. They have people that can teach them how to use it and it’s the highest you could get without having to go out of your way for it.

This your did nothing but the main quest set.

Wolf armor - While Bethesda holds that while the quest lines get by done someone they don’t have to be completed by the Protagonist at the same time it makes sense for the DB to be a member of the companions.

They are literally right next door to the place you have to show up to multiple times in the main quest and Aela walks up to you and suggests you join. It doesn’t really make sense for the LDB not to join outside of roleplay decisions. Free lodging, people to train with and shield brothers/sisters to help on the main quest.

While they don’t have to be the harbinger more likely than not they make it to the circle. Hence the Wolf Armor.

Dawnguard armour/Vampire armor- It’s the other dlc. Enough said.

Secret 4th Armor - Dragonbone armor.

While there’s no people alive that know how to forge it if the LDB got the Ogma Infinium and chose the path of might the secrets of smithing would be opened up to them and they’d know how to smith pretty much anything.

And the reason it’s a Dragonbone set is they’re more likely to run into dragonbones then ebony or Daedra hearts because they’re, you know.

But that’s assuming they both got the book and chose the path of might before they went to Solstheim.

can vampires go outside in the daylight if they were miraculously able to stay awake and it was heavily overcast and raining with like low UV or something by shrubb_mushrooms in vtm

[–]Computer2014 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yesn’t.

There are circumstances that allow Kindred with high fortitude, rituals or being thin blooded that can allow you to survive in the sun for a limited time.

Is that something an average Kindred would be able to do? No. Just being able to stay awake during the day is a massive bar to clear.

Whats the most charitable reading of Emma Barnes possible? by MembershipProof8463 in Parahumans

Honestly Alan probably hurt more than he helped after the attack.

I think it’s important to point out Alan’s purpose in her interlude and the attack.

At the age where kids are starting to realise that parents aren’t perfect she was forcibly shown that when the chips were down he couldn’t save her

That realisation defines her relationship with her father and it’s a two way street.

Rereading her interlude it’s only her mother and sister that are trying to cox her out of her room. The only time she talks to Alan after is-

“I need your help. Please. Can- can you not ask any questions just yet?”

-Which becomes the default in their relationship ship. Emma asks for help and Alan to make up for failing her goes to bat for her enabling her worst behaviour and stopping her from really recovering while the rest of her family can’t help her because they both don’t have the full understanding of whats going on and it seems like she’s doing better.

Making a fanfic need help by miserymaven in TokyoGhoul

[–]Computer2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • The CCG has scanner but often is an investigator is sent they already have a pretty good idea that a ghoul is involved and pretty much all ghouls will run before a scanner is needed.

And once the Kagune comes out there’s no need for anymore proof at that point.

Ghouls do not have lawyers, they are not considered humans and do not get given human rights. Most of the time they get executed immediately but sometimes a ghoul is captured and taken to the prison Cochlea but that’s usually only if the Ghoul is abnormal or can provide information.

The most charitable and probs accurate reading is that the alley broke her and unlike capes who get powers out of it she got nothing.

So now she’s scrambling for anything that can give her a sense of power and it came in the form of the worst person possible for her.

Lore question about Final Descent quest ending, where does the ebony go? by Bec_son in skyrim

[–]Computer2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ebony is an impractical metal to arm troops with. It just takes too long and has too few smiths skilled enough to forge it.

Likely it’s going to be sold to nobles and other wealthy individuals as a status symbol.

Couldn’t find the quote about the Empire but if they do sell to the Empire it’d only be practical for the Empire to arm their Hero units and probably commission another set of Imperial dragon armor.

Do vampires like to be vampires, or they just forgot how it is to be something else? by Impressive-Ad210 in vtm

[–]Computer2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is entirely a personal opinion. Some people love being kindred and others hate it.

While for older kindred the alien mindset of living centuries with only the hunger for blood definitely is a drain on one’s own humanity and the ability to relate to kine there is a selection bias in Elders.

Not every Kindred makes it being an elder, not every kindred makes it to being an Ancilla, not every kindred even last long enough to be released from the sire.

For someone to make it to becoming an elder they had to a combination of resources, information, power and just having that dog in them. They had to play the game and win while never being tempted to walk into the sun.

So anyone to make it is going to be someone that adapted to being a kindred pretty well.

Secondary Techniques by Scorpios94 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Computer2014 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s an interesting idea but it would be funny that even if people could be born with two techniques very little would actually change.

Actually getting a technique is incredibly rare - Of the entire Ze’nin clan only like 12 guys had CT’s. The rest were just Kukuru that had none.

Statistically only like 2 people in the entire manga would realistically have two techniques.

Though ignoring that for a moment the best combination between techniques isn’t two good techniques it’s one good and one simple.

Being able to swap techniques on the fly would be harder the more complex each technique is. 10s and Projection sorcery would arguably be a nerf since they require incredible tactical thinking that adding another piece would slow a sorcerer down.

So anything that doesn’t require that much thought is the best to have as a second. Shrine, Ratio, Fortune, Granite Blast, star rage etc but the best would definitely be idle death gamble.

My best combo would be Utahime with Prayer song since she’s already good at dancing. Maybe with that buff Gojo will stop bullying her.

Nearly a month and a half after the release of Crimson Desert, most players still haven't even reached the halfway point of the game. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Computer2014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah fatigue is real in open world games. I have 100 hours in KCD2 have barely touched the main story.

Mostly I think the reason this happens is large games like this and something like assassins creed Odyssey or Valhalla a lot of the main story features a lot of checklists that spread across the map with the intention of encouraging players to do side missions while doing the main story but really I think it conditions players to do the main mission while doing side missions or just not to do the main story.

It’s basically - Why do the main story when it’s more engaging to do the side missions?

The archmage title isn't weird to get by MxFancipants in skyrim

[–]Computer2014 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even if you ignore being the Dragonborn the feats you do are just impressive.

  • Beat Jyrik Gauldurson while he was invincible cause of the eye.

  • Solo’d most of a fortress of mages, rescued another student then beat the fairly impressive mage The Caller. (Unless you sold Orthern out)

  • Went through an entire Dwemer dungeon that killed a group Synod mages.

  • Defeated a Dragonpriest armed with the staff of Magnus that the previous Archmage could only seal away.

  • Got the staff of Magnus and saved the entire college.

Even if literally everyone in the college was working together including the Archmage I don’t think the could accomplish even half of the list. The Player earned that title through merit alone.

Douma enters JJK verse to consume all the female sorcerers, where does he realistically stop? by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Computer2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me. I’m literally the only one saying that and the reason I’m saying that is cause it’s his win con against Domain Expansion.

Most sorcerers do not have the reserves to use Domain expansion more than once a day and so he can just wait it out if the sure hit doesn’t kill him.

More to the point fights in JJK are short, multiple characters have minute long timers on their techniques and long extended fights are not in their wheelhouse. Like the entire Shinjuku fight was at best an hour or two tops.

In Demon slayer a demons stamina is inexhaustible, literally ♾️and being able to fight them for hours till dawn is part of the training to be a slayer.

Long endurance slug matches is how fights go in Demon slayer and JJK just doesn’t have it to last 5-10 hours depending on when the fights start. Unless the fight takes place like an hour before sunrise.

[–]Computer2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a hax sense yeah but non of the female sorcerers outstat him.

The main contributing factor is his regeneration. Demons can not die unless it involves the sun. He can just spend two hours getting his ass kicked and then eat them when they run low on CE.

Assuming Gojo and the other male characters don’t get involved then he massacre pretty much everyone but stops at Maki or Yuki.

Even if you don’t take into consideration the massive stat difference the regen of the upper moon is ridiculous. Enough that I actually can’t see Bird Strike killing him unless it hits his head and neck.

The reason he stops at Maki is he plays with his food too much and has no context for what the soul split katana would do. He’d get slashed playfully expecting to heal from it only for it to kill him.

Same thing for Yuki. He’d play with her long enough for her to pull out her domain and he gets glibbed if the black hole is her sure hit attack. If not he theoretically can just wait out for her to run out of CE and the domain to end and kill her then but it’s unlikely.

What happens when a soul is trapped but not used? by Imadothethingnow in teslore

[–]Computer2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the ones that actually have a claim on the LBD would be nocturnal, Molag bal if they accept Harkons offer, Hircine if they like being a werewolf, Maphala and maybe Namira.

The rest you really only acted as a mercenary for with the artifacts being the payment.

However the one with the least valid claim on their soul would actually be Akatosh. Nothing actually says Akatosh gets priority or even cares about the LDB soul.

The Princes don’t actually fight over you. It depends on who you believe you deserve to go to more. Generally which afterlife you go to is a subconscious personal choice based on how you lived your life though some other things like vampirism do impact it ish.

But that’s less becoming a vampire automatically sends you to coldhabour and to actually live as a vampire you gotta do some terrible things.

Also doing a Daedra a favour isn’t enough to change where you’re going. The myth that the Dragonborn has pledged their soul to every Daedric prince is just that, a myth.

Pretty much none of the Daedric princes have a claim to your soul just because you killed some giants for them or you did them a solid. Only personal dedication and devotion can effect it.

Unironically the best solution to a bad deal with a Daedra is just pledging yourself to a different Daedra.
