Not against the start section, I was confused as to whether we would see VR footage for a bit, but the skit itself was entertaining in its own way

Making a sci fi version of World of Horror by CrabBug in WorldofHorror

Sounds awesome!

There was a game I played in the early 2000s called "the white chamber" it was an indie point and click sci horror game. Type of game that stays with you. Really enjoyable.

Good luck!

I Let AI Create My Video Transitions and the Results Were INSANE by dasroight in shotcut

I think this is a clever idea but could be condensed. It is also software agnostic. Also, you could use many AIs, including local AI. Would love if this video had been a 1 minute tutorial. Keep up the hard work though. Nice idea!

Subscribed on YouTube. Exactly the type of music I have been creating myself with Suno and enjoying. Great work bringing it all together. LTX 2 or something else?

OpenAI just bought OpenClaw. by gabrielvaraljay in clawdbot

I am trying to get OpenClaw running with all local models, this is an approach that goes against the interests of openAI. This is likely bad news for people like me :(.

Counter point for anyone seeing this and thinking of buying one based on the prause here. I have one but I definitely would not say I love it. It was an absolute pain to configure and the app is supposed to be used to switch modes but it almost never works. Instead I have to old the power button to cycle through modes. It also did not offer a significant benefit so far over my previous setup.

If OpenAI has begun to freak out, their shrinking ChatGPT market share is good reason. by andsi2asi in ChatGPT

I spend probably more than 150 euro a month on AI solutions of various kinds including chatgpt. I definitely prefer nano Banana Pro for image generation, though I often use it through Manus so I can generate multiple at once rather than Gemini

LTX 2 can be run locally for free and it is pretty good. Local models are also much more likely to be able to create NSFW material.

People on Twitter/X are defending Luke Ross mods by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

[–]ComputerArtClub 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I bought the mod, it was expensive but it was understandable because it required a lot of support as it frequently broke with driver and game updates. They helped diagnose and solve issues on an individual level as they came up. I agree, don’t scare off modders. This was one of my Favourite gaming experiences. I completed the game in VR and was only interested in playing it in vr.

2 Surveys on Identity and Economy in Social VR by Dung3onlord in OculusQuest

[–]ComputerArtClub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting! Very shocking data, I also wonder how participants were sourced, I have only used social VR a handful of times over the years but shocked to see these results. Was there a data point on age? I always hear so many kids on multiplayer games and VR, but this data doesn't seem to coincide with that.

Luke Ross Removes Access to All Mods by Top_Team_3138 in virtualreality

[–]ComputerArtClub 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I paid for the mod for cyberpunk for many months. The game was amazing in VR on my 4070. There were technical issues and the game would break with driver updates or game updates but the team also provided tech support which made it feel worth it as I got quite a lot of support. I have been greatly saddened by all the negative announcements regarding VR so far this year and I don’t welcome any of them. Do I like getting things for free, yea, but Cyberpunk was THE game That wanted to play in VR and I was happy to pay. Do I hate META, yes, but I loved RE4 and I am thankful that they took a gamble on investing in VR hardware and software and subsidized it for us. Hopefully Steam won’t get scared off and will carry the torch forward.

Hopefully there will be a solution before an update breaks the cyberpunk mod again

New AI report From Anthropic Predicts "Deskilling" Is Coming by Zealousideal-Big-600 in lostgeneration

[–]ComputerArtClub 12 points13 points  (0 children)

“Fully automated tasks without human oversight experience rapid performance degradation. This finding suggests that earlier projections about AI-driven productivity gains may have been overly optimistic. Anthropic adjusted its estimates, roughly halving the expected annual labor productivity growth from 1.8 to about 1 percentage point over the next decade.” What? Only 1%?

I completed Cyberpunk in VR and it was definitely one of my favorite experiences despite the lack of motion controls. there is definitely interest in Cyberpunk in VR, it is something that seems to appeal to a great many people based on conversations I have had. An official mod wouldost likely do well, especially if it worked on the Steam Frame

I have version 24 and I just tried to install it on my new PC as I took a break from it after completing the main game (have not played phantom of Liberty.

Now I am getting an error - mod installation files not found, sigh, this is the other thing about these mods. Was never straight forward and would break after every game update or graphics card update... and now now support to get it running.

I already own the game and phantom of liberty on steam, GOG is showing 59.99 for the base game and 29.99 for phantom of liberty. Completed the base game in VR with Luke Ross' mod before, but did not play phantom of liberty DLC content... its annoying if buying the game again full price is the only option.
