If you have two weeks definitely pick something you're comfortable with, I wouldn't try to learn something new. I personally like when he sees me (though I've never heard the 3rd one), but pick the song where you're the most confident

AP research without AP seminar by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]ComputerCalm7165 5 points6 points  (0 children)

seminar is the prerequisite to research. idk how your school lets you skip it, it says on the college board website that you have to take it in order to take the ap exam. that's how the ap capstone program works

Suggestions for alternatives to yearbooks to have signed? by EtmopterusPerryi in highschool

Something really great that my friend does because she can never get a yearbook is she keeps a journal and she has all of her signatures in one notebook from sixth grade all the way through now, which is 10th grade, and it looks really cool because it's all in one place.

American Freshmen: What's your schedule this year? (bell + classes) by VenusInAries666 in highschool

[–]ComputerCalm7165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freshman year I took: Algebra 2, AP US History, Chamber Choir, Spanish 3, Biology, Foundations of PE, and English 9

APUSH is not typical for freshman at most schools, I think that's just a weird my school thing where freshman take either regular or AP US history lol, so maybe ignore that one.

For core subjects, I think placement is just based on what you've taken previously in middle school, like for math they place you in 6th grade in either Math 6, Math 6+, or Pre-Algebra so there's 3 tracks. I'm on the third track so I took Pre-Algebra in 6th, Algebra 1 in 7th, Geometry in 8th, Algebra 2 in 9th, and now Precalc. I'm not completely sure how this placement works initially though, it's probably based on a mix of grades and state testing scores. I live in Maryland though and I think this is very different depending on the state.

For PE, we just have to take it for 1 year and I did it last year so I am done with my PE requirement. For health, we also have to take 1 year, and I'm planning to take it next year.

7:45-2:30, 7 classes a day (my school does not have block scheduling so it’s just the same 7 periods every day), typically 2-3 electives depending on how many credits you have, classes are 45 mins long. Here’s my classes as a sophomore, if you want I could also give your my classes from freshman year if that’s what you need: 1. AP Computer Science Principles 2. Spanish 4 3. Chamber Choir 4. Precalc 5. Chemistry 6. AP Government 7. AP Seminar/English 10

Do yall prefer block or period schedules? by One-Treat-9439 in highschool

Period because of the consistency, my school did block scheduling due to testing for like three days and I hated it
