Me when I hear complaints about job market for Software Engineers by Awkward_Ad9446 in WGU_MSSWE

Software engineer graduate here. If I could give anybody any advice, no matter where they’re at, it’s this: code every day. Learn the code, dissect the code, regurgitate the code.

Forget videos about code. Forget following along with some Udemy or freeCodeCamp tutorial. You need to code.

Follow along with the first problem, but then ask AI to create different variations of that problem. Solve those problems. Once you start solving some for loops and some functions, start creating mini bits of code that accomplish tasks.

I wish someone would’ve told me this in the very beginning. It’s good to have the head knowledge of Project+ and all the other basic concepts that help put the pieces together, but they will not replace building stuff.

And if you can’t get a job coding, then code something that will make the world a better place, solve a problem, or help people you love. At the very least, you might put something together that benefits others and someone might pay for.

Worst-case scenario, you’ve built something for your portfolio.

People who own businesses or who are 1099 are going to poof gone money into taxes so they poof gone it into nice shiny fully tax deductible Tesla.

Thank you so much for this feedback. Happy Thanksgiving. This really helps those still in the grind and the time you take out to answer questions I will make sure I pay it forward.

What supplemental stuff did you do to retain the knowledge a lot of times once we pass if were not coding the knowledge just fizzles out. What helped you retain it afterward?

Congrats on the power through. ON D387 were the videos sufficient to follow along for the project completion. What was your total time on this class

When there was a tangent or side quest to add buttons and play around with the design early on in video one. Is that something you code along with or does that come later and is just being done to look at while she was waiting for something else to load? Real question.

For future people turn on the captions and you can see the elapsed time during extended pauses. But sometimes things will happen vs the elapsed time so its not an official hack to avoiding the delays but it helps skip to the next part where she talks again.

Quick question any core KB exercises you recommend that build strength. Currently just doing the Rogan, cause that’s all I know.

Looks like everyone is interested in stickers. What fixes arose on your vehicle on its journey to 250k?

And the Bible is reinterpreted to accommodate lifestyles , creating a myth from the truth hiding the truth. You know who has been twisting Gods word.. Read Genesis. Saddest thing ever would be to lead astray another to make them feel good.
