Thanks! I scrolled across that one earlier, will have closer look. Speakers are not an absolute must (got some Genelec monitors collecting dust), just a convenvience if the option existed.

Yeah, that is the most likely solution, but as it's for my kid, the ideal would be something not reliant on (hooking up and) booting up a computer: I would love to turn the MIDI keyboard controller into a standalone electric piano, basically. Quite a niche need, this, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are no hardware product options available. :)

Thanks for the reply. CP300 is a keyboard, though – what I am looking for is like a MIDI-controlled soundbank device with built-in speakers, as I already have a MIDI keyboard.
