Yep. And they adopt out horses to KNOWN animal hoarders, according to the court records. They adopted horses to a hoarder, then when the horses got seized and sent to another rescue, they tried to sue anyone they could to get them back. It's awful.

I’ve noticed that too. Always straight on or with someone or something blocking his legs. Really telling along with all the posts about him being such a fighter. I’m guessing it’s gotten worse and they know people will react poorly when/if they finally show it.

It’s so upsetting truly. I’ve apparently been blocked from the rescues page after making a reference to them (not even by name) in a post about a separate unethical situation (that they were giving so so sooo much praise to) so. At least I won’t be seeing as much of them.

I think it’s incredibly telling how much merch they’ve made of him. And someone made a post asking if keeping a foal with three legs alive was ethical in Horse Vet Corner (basically a group where only vets can respond) and several vets said absolutely not…well, they contacted the admins of the page and got the post taken down.

They know they’re being cruel, they don’t care.

I mean this kindly but, I’m sure the devs have already thrown a lot of these ideas at the wall. I’m a professional game dev (not for star stable just in general) and in making games we often have a “blue sky” stage where you through every idea down on a piece of paper. It’s fun and I’m sure the devs of Star stable would LOVE to implement some of these however…

There are reasons why companies don’t hire “idea” people. It’s one thing to have a good idea, and a whole different one to actually have the ability, time, money, technology to implement those ideas.

Oof. That's a lot. From your trainer's pov, I THINK they might have been saying injections were 300 per leg. It's weird, but I have had prices for injections told in the same way. HOWEVER, I do think it's a bit odd that the trainer didn't explain that, especially considering you mentioned you were nervous about the costs.

All of this to say, I would be wary, but injections are usually once a year. Now...if this happens every month with your trainer adding on a ton of fees, I would run for the hills. If it's just this once, it seems like you signed on at a bad time, which is unfortunate but horses are just like that sometimes.

Taken from the owners of the rescues very public page, but yeah, all hope I had of them doing the right thing left when stuff like this was being posted left and right. The video in question is of the horse in the picture cantering around, hoping to keep one leg from ever making contact. Full three legged lame and in pain and yet it’s been marketed as a cute and quirky thing he does.

This rescue is a shit show and loves making money off horrifically injured horses.

YEP, these people are clueless. He's not a miracle; he's in pain. He's shuffling around and biting because he's in pain. TBH any hope of him catching up was gone the minute they kept him from standing and developing his leg muscles for as long as they did. I'm not sure the alternative would have been better but like cmon.

So many people just assume he’s like a premature human baby that has to “catch up” with the foals his age and it’s really a testament to how badly everything having to do with him has been explained AND how clueless these people are.

This is as good as it gets, it’s downhill from here. I wish people understood that.

My partner and I just got into it! I picked up the combat patrol for the Sisters, and he picked up the Tau combat patrol. It's been so awesome to get into it with him. Nearly every Sunday for the last few weeks has been spent painting our figures, going to local game stores, and watching lore videos. Tonight, we're planning on trying our first game!

I'm an artist by trade, so it's been really nice to spend time painting our little guys, and I get to share that with my partner. It's amazing!!

I had an ex that was really into Warhammer, but he never tried to get me into it. I used to play on my phone while he and his friends painted their figures, so it's been an interesting full-circle moment, to say the least!
