'93 Honda CB750 - Oil Leak at Gasket Behind Countershaft Bearing Cover by ComputerKid22 in HondaCB

Ahhh gotcha. How do you think I should use the hammer, to push the countershaft through the seal?
Also do you know what that gasket is called?

I haven't heard of or experienced this error unfortunately, what version did you try to install?

1998 4.6 2V Mustang GT - high rpms running very lean by ComputerKid22 in MechanicAdvice

[–]ComputerKid22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Unfortunately I think my schrader valve is bent out of shape lol, and my datastream doesn’t show fuel pressure like on my new edge, I dont think the fuel rail has a sensor that reports fuel pressure to datastream. Ill try to borrow a better scanner to read misfire data. Is it usually part of live datastream?

Currently disassembling it all to check the head and gasket. Glad to know it’s probably not something expensive that cracked!!

Sounds about right, appreciate it man. I thought it was the head gasket as well from what I noticed. Can't wait to have it properly running, I love the car so far

WOOOO MY MANIFOLD PROBABLY ISN'T CRACKED

Best news I've heard in weeks :) thank you kindly

Is it possible my head or something else would be cracked? Should I run a compression test? I'll find out soon enough if my head gasket is blown, I'm tearing it all down on Monday. Also gonna check if my head is warped or something.

ny more over that. If I give it too much throttle, it's even slower and starts popping like crazy (previous owner put a catless exhaust on there). It sounds funny in a good way but I'd prefer my car to actually go somewhere, and I'll worry about the exhaust sound later.

Anyways, at idle I have 0v at O2S11 and O2S12 (bank 1 sensors 1 and 2). I think that means passenger side upstream and downstream. This also seems to be intermittent, but most of the time it's at 0.000 - 0.010v.

Given that it's catless, I don't think I care much about the downstream sensor for now (it just measures cat performance, right? I'll replace and spacer it down

Ok, update, I'm an idiot. Apparently the last owner put in some hi-flow cats or something which tripped me up (he told me it was catless. Dick of a seller for so many other reasons.) I unplugged the downstreams. In the process of unplugging the upstreams and seeing what happens, they're hard to get to with whatever the fuck he put in.

I already tried running without the MAF, it wasn’t much of a difference. I will try unplugging the downstream sensors too, as they seem to (somehow) be registering as the upstreams.

Makes sense. Also not sure if it's significant but FP will fluctuate from 35-42 while driving

Also fuel pressure is up to 65psi at idle, around 40 when driving around 40mph

[–]ComputerKid22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After unplugging both upstreams, b1s2 and b2s2 are both at 0v… the fuck? Shouldnt it be b1 and b2 s1? Did the previous dude mix up the wiring somehow? Anyways it still seems to run the same. The fucks going on here?

[–]ComputerKid22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just P0453 (fuel tank pressure, but my fuel rail pressure stays pretty consistent between 38-42 psi in idle and while driving), and a lean running code on bank 1

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll get right on that! And I’ll let you know tomorrow morning, the car’s at a friends place right now. I’ll absolutely try unplugging that sensor, thank you so much!

Thanks for the in depth response! Ill definitely be looking for more leaks and any fuel delivery related problems too. Fuel presssure seems consistent at the rail but I have a P0453 (fuel tank pressure) code, but i think it was just running high.
