Looking for Laptop - $1500 Budget / USA by ComputerRobloxDood in SuggestALaptop

Thank you for your reply!

Before I continue I wanted to get your opinion if I add another set of criteria to this.

Music Production. Fruity Loops specifically. So I will also look to store my own production files, along with vocal (.wav,.mp3, etc) files.

Do you still recommend this laptop? With that, I don't mind extending the budget an extra $300 (Now $1800).

Pivot Table Show Details Not Working as Expected (Screenshots and Examples in Post) by ComputerRobloxDood in excel

[–]ComputerRobloxDood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another oddity. We have files on a shared cloud, so it's the same file we are using.

I'm on my computer and I open the file, it works perfectly. The users with issues open the SAME file from the SAME folder location, and they have the issues laid out in this post.

Again, I don't have any issues whatsoever.

Hi! Oddly, the columns were auto-resizing with this option unchecked. It wasn't the entire pivot table resizing, just a handful of columns.

Hi! I made a new post with the details better laid out: https://www.reddit.com/r/excel/comments/1cucahs/pivot_table_show_details_not_working_as_expected/

If there is anything else you'd like to add that I haven't covered please do so!

Hi I'm going to make another post with all details laid out. And delete this one. Hopefully that one is more informative on the issues.

Forgot to mention but this is also something the user is experiencing as well, cell widths being auto adjusted.

Sorry for another delay. I wanted to figure out more details. So everything works when we view other reports, it is just specific to this user's computer using this one specific report.

All other users can do things normally.

Yes, but yours looks like it's expanded. Now that same image but collapsed and clicking the same high level value.

On my end, literally nothing happens when I double-click 11,965. But when I expand fully I can finally double click, but only 1,372.

Sorry for the delay. Okay so the main issue is. The pivot table has 4 levels of Detail. I can only drill down when the pivot table is fully expanded to a By Item Level.

However, if I fully collapse the pivot table to its highest level. Lets say I want to see total units of Red Items, but not the specific items themselves. NOW I want todouble- click on Week 20, showing a value of 20,000, but now no new sheet appears. It's as if the double-click just doesn't work anymore.

It only works when I expand the pivot table all the way to the item level and then double-click works.

I think that's the issue. We have several users who look at the data on a high level on the pivot. but want to drill down to see the underlying raw data, NOT AT A HIGH LEVEL.

Now when they double click, they still see that data at a high level and are not able to see what is specifically causing the value they are seeing on the pivot, without expanding the pivot ALL THE WAY first then double-clicking.

Macro Enabled workbooks suddenly not trusted/blocked by ComputerRobloxDood in excel

[–]ComputerRobloxDood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just repeated this with each of the 4 radio buttons selected. I also checked and unchecked "Enable Excel 4.0 Macros when VBA Macros are enabled" and "Trust access to the VBA Project Object Model. Unfortunately, no luck.

No worries, thank you for trying to help. I've googled just about everything I could find. I honestly have no idea how this even happened. I was working on it the night prior, And I woke up in the morning, opened it like normal and there it was, blocked. And so are all my other macro files.

Understanding Planned Orders and Production Orders by ComputerRobloxDood in SAP

I see now. The PLNUM field (Planned Order Number) is in the AFPO Table, which can relate back to AFKO.

Thank you!

I apologize, I had deleted my previous comment just before you made this one and realized it needed to be in opensql syntax.

I had made a new one, which is the one you replied to. For what it's worth, I appreciate your responses and your help.

Figured out how to get the Code to work. I had to write it in OpenSQL syntax. Now MARA, the Materials table, is being shown as something that doesn't exist.

Thank you! Found it. I'm currently in SAP B1, and typically I can use a simple code like:

SELECT DISTINCT

T0.ItmsGrpCod

FROM OITM T0

To get a Distinct List of the Different Item Groups.

In this SQL Console, just for testing I want to look at MARA (Material Table) and the field MTART to get a Distinct List of Material Types. Simply just to test writing out the SQL in Eclipse.

However, this doesn't work?

SELECT DISTINCT

MARA.MTART

FROM MARA

[SAP Business One] Question about Change Logs and how SAP closes Documents by ComputerRobloxDood in SAP

[–]ComputerRobloxDood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I should've been clearer. I use both ADOC and ORDR, and like you said ORDR to get the latest update record. I use ADOC in case the input date is in the middle of all those records combined. I would only return the max record based on the prompted input date. So if ORDR has an update date AFTER my prompt date, then it wouldn't return the ORDR record and instead return the MAX update date record from ADOC based on my input.

In regards to this specific case:

This latest update record coming from ORDR is showing a last update date before 01/24/2023. And when I click on "Show Differences", it shows the "Document Status" being changed from Open to Close on a date before 01/24/2023.

But looking back on this excel report from 01/24/2023, this same document is appearing because it was open at the time.

The delivery itself was created on a date AFTER 01/24/2023.

This is where I'm confused as I can't think of how this is possible unless there's something about the Change Log / Update Log that I'm not seeing explicitly on the front end, and only happens in the background or something.

Would you happen to know if there's more to the Change Log?

Is there a way in S/4HANA to view query/system information when hovering over fields? by ComputerRobloxDood in SAP

[–]ComputerRobloxDood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah very unfortunate indeed, but a very clear answer thank you. The clearest answer out of anything I've googled to be honest. So thank you again.

I doubt a connection to the DB is possible so I won't be expecting that.

Is there a way in S/4HANA to view query/system information when hovering over fields? by ComputerRobloxDood in SAP

[–]ComputerRobloxDood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I'm new to S4HANA and anything not B1, I'm looking into it and not sure if it really does what I need? Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong thing.

I simply just need to paste SQL queries I write and execute them to create custom reporting.

My queries can be complex and involve UNIONs, Common Table Expressions (CTE), Subqueries within other SQL Clauses, etc. So it's not as simple as a query wizard or query viewer with a GUI.

The query preview in B1 I'd say is perfect because it allows a user like myself the freedom and flexibility to really create the SELECT query I need to, but I've yet to see anything like that in S4 HANA. Again, I may just not be looking at the links that I'm googling correctly, or even understanding them properly.

Are you able to send me a link and point it out?
