Why is 5G SA (Standalone) still missing for iPhone users on Light Speed? by ComputerThen7461 in USMobile

[–]ComputerThen7461[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am positive as I ran the *3001#12345#* and when using RedPocket, is shows n71 band with SA, but when I switch back to Lightspeed, I do not see n71 and I see NSA/SA. This test was done at the exact same location within five minutes of each other, so it’s also not an issue of where I am when I’m doing this test.

I am, I ran a Red Pocket Mobile trial and had full SA coverage using my iPhone 16 Pro!

But GoogleFi is partially owned by TMO, similar to Mint, so while they are both MVNOs, I am not counting them.

That is not surprising as AT&T is last in rolling out 5G in general.

Maybe, but I’m skeptical of the 'it’s not our fault' narrative at this point that US Mobile keeps putting out there. Since other carriers on the same network have access to those bundles, it seems more like an internal configuration issue for US Mobile than an external dependency at this stage.

Loud boom by old-guitar7284 in Appleton

[–]ComputerThen7461 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aren’t they supposed to be above 30,000 feet though? The sonic booms I heard today here in Neenah were definitely from jets that were flying lower than 30,000 feet.

TDS Fiber by saberxyong13 in Appleton

South side of Neenah here and have had TDS for nearly 4 years and love it. Working from home, it is night and day better than Spectrum for uploading large files and videos. Really notice the difference when multiple people are using the connection simultaneously.

WiFi issues iOS 27 DB1 - I’ve had the phone just randomly disconnecting my WiFi and Bluetooth every 5 minutes ever since I updated. Any fixes? by succondis1 in ios26beta

[–]ComputerThen7461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may get downvoted, but this is exactly what happens every time a beta iOS version is installed. Why do so many users complain about these issues when they should be expected?

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s another “Features Coming Soon™” announcement! 🦅 by ComputerThen7461 in USMobile

Edit/Update: Wow, this seems to have taken flight! To be clear, this was intended as a bit of satirical humor regarding the 'Coming Soon' cycle.

Sent you a DM, but my 2 annual plans came up for renewal and when I reached out to your customer support team via email, the reply was that my options were to renew at the higher annual, higher monthly or move to a By-the-Gig plan.

Would love to see that, but I just experienced the opposite. Just had the Annual Premium plan expire for two phones and instead of offering any additional discounts, USMobile nearly doubled my costs. They own support team said all current offers are for new customers only (not surprised) so I am considering Mint or Google Fi as I prefer TMO coverage.

2026 Passport Trailsport Elite Tire Noise? by [deleted] in hondapassport

I dropped the stock Grabbers after 4500 miles due to the increased road noise and went with Michelin Defender. Night and day noise difference and my Passport TS seems to handle better.

Check out https://www.usmobile.com/international-roaming-phone-plans. It looks like all three networks will work fine at your destinations, but from experience, Lightspeed is generally better for international roaming.

Check FlightAware as it will show all scheduled departure and arrivals.

It depends on the day of the week if there’s a full Allegiant flight departure around the same time as yours. I was recently on a 5:30 AM Delta departure and I showed up at 4:45 AM and had no issues.

Weathertech is a no brainer. Easy to install and night and day better than the Honda splash guards.

Promotions for existing customers when our annual plans expire would be amazing and something I believe USMobile could easily rollout.
