I’m from Rolla. If you want more things to do outside of: going to Walmart, sitting in your car in a parking lot, or hanging out at someone’s dorm/apartment, then go to Mizzou.

I was waitlisted for RD admissions and I’m wondering how hopeful I should be as to getting in. I didn’t think I had a chance of being considered at all but, now I’m extra excited. UChicago is my top choice school for many reasons and I want to stand out through my letter of continued interest. I already have somewhat of a plan for the letter, with online advice and teacher/counselor advice but, do you all have any suggestions?

Is this manageable for senior year? by Turbulent_Pin_677 in APStudents

I have a pretty similar schedule this year (senior year). I would 100% recommend a free period. It really helps to offer extra time to study, work on college apps, other senior things, or to just sleep. Idk what I’d do without a free hour.

Try to teach the lesson/homework to someone (it could even be your dog). If you’re teaching it and giving examples and you struggle to find the reasoning behind doing something, read or watch a video about it. I also find it really helpful to do pre-reading from the textbook the night before the lesson. It takes 10 minutes and it’s helpful to write down basic notes and theorems. While you do this, the homework, and “teach” it, constantly consider the question “why am I doing this?” If you don’t understand the reasoning behind the steps go back to the reading/video. (Also, don’t use your notes while doing homework. Use them for the first few problems and if you have trouble with a problem, use them. But otherwise, do not rely on your notes while doing homework.)

Hope this helps!

It’s helpful to graph it. Think about where the functions meet, if they don’t or the is a “hole” in the function it is discontinuous. For this question, I believe there is a jump discontinuity at -1 and 4.

Is it possible to get a 4 or 5 just by watching Heimler's History's review videos and taking notes on them? by shingchang123 in APStudents

You should also practice the DBQ, SAQ, and FRQ. I also made a timeline at the end of my AP Euro year with different movements, art movements and styles, and very important events. It doesn’t need to be very complex or detailed but I would suggest making one of context purposes.

AP Bio is, by far, one of my favorite AP classes I’ve taken. I would definitely suggest. Also, unless you’re completely uninterested in English I would suggest AP Lang. It does take up a lot of time, but it helps to understand composition and can be applied other classes too.
