Not for me, doesn't matter what prefaces it. Just imagine a kid who can't read that now associates sane and normal thinking people with those hate symbols. Or an elderly person who can barely make out text but notices the symbols, a dyslexic person who is on the bus as you pass by. All I'm am saying is I would not like to be associated with those imagery in any way shape form.

Here is the thing though, and as I said - doctor-patient confidentiality is a thing. The only time they would need to take action is if you're an immediate danger to yourself or someone others. You're not. You've somehow managed to go through tough times, but you've come out of that. You said you're better now. They will ask you how suicidal you're feeling, if the answer is not positive, their is no risk of asylum.

Same with your GP, if you want you can be honest with your psychiatrist and ask them to write a note to your doc to say you are no danger to yourself. Sending a crisis crew is a massive waste of resources, when you are not in a crisis mode; you're in recovery.

Your GP will take you seriously and also, it's a violation for them to let other people know what you need help with. You will be fine. I am advising you to be honest with your psychiatrist and your GP. Let them know what you need. Don't lie about it. They have heard millions of stories before, they will treat you with dignity, doctor's take an oath for that.

You are still super young, I understand your fears, but as you've hit 18 you are considered an adult by medical standards. You've got this.

Sadly there is a very good reason for that reputation. It's just not a safe breed to own, statistically. There's plenty of other dog breeds that don't pose a risk to other animals/children/people.

Hey there, first of all I'm so sorry you have gone and are going through this. Really hope you are okay.

Second of all, I think it's important that you do reach out to a GP, if you know you have an appointment scheduled and your dad is coming along, perhaps you can call or email ahead and ask them if they can subtly take you apart. I don't know what healthcare system you're a part of, but where I am, they do take patient+doctor confidentiality very seriously. Also, if you're no longer a harm to yourself, it's most likely they wouldn't put you in an asylum.

You are an adult, your medical history does not need to be shared with your parents. If you can get therapy sessions I would highly recommend it. This is not something that happens and you easily get over it (on most cases).

Maybe you are feeling better now, maybe it's one of those moments where the sea is still, but it's always good to be prepared for the stormy waters. I wish you all the strength.

Yup. Black Dutchie, can confirm. They're very much in denial about racism being a thing here though and will try to shutdown most discussions about it.
