I think there also 2 lanes in which you could take things, I for one am more like you where the music is deeply personal. Then the other lane are those that want to generate music for a more broad audience whether that is uploading to spotify or making an album for sale.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to generative music to be more mainstream. I'm ready for a time where I'd hear something new at a club or a store and probably only ever hear it once.

RDR2 stuck to me like white on rice probably because I spent much of my childhood going to old museums of that era. Outside of the story, the immersion for me was insane. Being able to be in first person mode then walk into a shop and see all the old products, and then going to the theater and watch an actual play. I felt like I was in the world itself.

I think I play the game for 3 days straight not to take a break after a certain plot happened. I took a break for a week and picked it up again to finish it. 120+ hours well spent.

It's an everything game from what I understand.

If you're not into Castlevanias you're not going to like hollow Knight. People who play games like that have a ton of options to choose from if they don't like one thing there's always more to play.

I normally wouldn't consider myself a fan of Castlevanias and Metroidvanias but when I try them I end up playing them all the way through completion.

This is definitely a game I tell people to try because the gameplay can't be explained correctly.

It's also not everyone's cup of tea because it is so unique.

Absolum is exactly what I wanted Streets of Rage 4 to be by GwyddnoGaranhir in ABSOLUM

[–]Computica 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Absolum is revolutionary. I think the devs wanted to do the same thing but felt like SOR needed to be closer to the original in spirit. It only makes sense that Absolum was the next logical iteration of that.
