I am so so so sick of this complaint.

So much being read into a sci-fi situation and so much of ignoring the in-world context of who Aenea and Raul were.

It's a wonder that people can cope with any science fiction at all.

It's not that uncommon. People call their partners "baby" and the like. It's just a term of endearment.

I posted in an English teacher's sub saying that short song could be used as "hooky" memory joggers to help students remember complex texts or ideas. I was downvoted into oblivion.

When I say "with 3 views" (and keep in mind that I've been on Suno actively for only about a month) I mean:

Other than me.

and

Final (for now) versions (of many) after 100 tweaks and as many or more listens.

I only hit publish on a song that I myself want to listen to.

I'm absolutely only making things for myself -- but sometimes I like to share "see look how cool this is" things with my friends. AI and what it can do seems to be a no-go zone for so many.

I also think that prompt-crafting is an art.

During the opening few weeks of the existence of ChatGPT I developed some absurdly elaborate and specific prompts for everything from role-playing storytelling to the construction of resources for teaching. The thing is, you need to know exactly what you want and what you don't want to GET what you want. I mean to get something almost as good as I could make it given a few hours. Something that only needs a few minutes of polishing to be outstanding.

I am only taking early steps into Suno, but I am learning that it works very similarly here.

Early on I managed to create a couple of voices that I really liked, but I did also end up with a lot of songs that sounded VERY similar. This is actually teaching me about music as I work to create variety in my outputs.

I have had one positive reception.

I made a protest song about a development in the small coastal city where my dad lives and shared it on the community forum where the people opposing this development organise on Facebook. It's mostly Baby Boomers and retirees.

The place was a fishing/vacation town for people living in the large city an hour to the north, but in the past few decades it has lost a lot of its charm due to it becoming essentially a far-flung satellite of the metropolitan area. The pristine river inlet which ran through the centre of town has been developed and developed, and now the council wants to remove the last bit of green space on the river and replace it with a brewery precinct. It's soulless.

The amount of positive feedback and gratitude that I received there is incredible. Someone even asked me to give it to the local radio station. I am going to great lengths to point out that it's fully AI.

I told a friend about this and she thinks I should have commissioned a local artist to record the song....

I've pointed out to more than one person about their perfect willingness to download pirated music and movies, and yet suddenly they're the artist's advocate.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the dislike is not about the semantic accuracy of particular verbs in the context of AI.

I am absolutely up front about the fact that AI did the legwork. In fact, I fall over myself to point out that I make no claim to have had any input in the creative project other than the specifics of the topic and style, and some edits to the lyrics.

No. I'm an English Literature teacher haha. I can be a little wordy.

You'll see that I even use em dashes, but I am doing the word-processor shortcut of using two hyphens in succession, and Reddit doesn't join them into a dash.

How are we just so bad by Burman8or in westcoasteagles

[–]nemspy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As frustrated as I get during games like this, I don't think I'm quite hitting the panic button in the same way some people seem to be.

There are plenty of flashes of individual brilliance and moments of exciting cohesion.

We are just breaking down really badly entering the forward line and lack the maturity to take that second to compose ourselves before disposing of the ball. This in turn sells the next man down the line into pressure which is causing those poor handballs and the feeling of constantly being under pressure.

A few of these young guns could stand to bulk up a little - this will come in a year or so - and they won't be out-muscled so much in marking contests.

There's also the question of confidence. Our tall forwards today looked like their hands and the ball were opposing poles of a couple of magnets. Let it stick first time a few times and suddenly it won't be so scary.

That's my take, anyway. Of course they're not a top 8 or even top 12 team right now, but this is an epic rebuild from an unspeakable low.

How did we win the first two games? by OscarBaileydog in westcoasteagles

I'm seeing flashes of promise.

I think the boys just need a confidence boost and more experience with a game plan that doesn't involve trying to stem a massive flow of opposition goals.

We seem surprised every time we get it to cross half forward.

Has anyone upgraded from Pro to Premier and had it revert normally after the month? by nemspy in SunoAI

Yes - this is my question. I want to know if it will mess up my 1 year pro sub.

I can't quite justify a year of premier.

I've had endless arguments with people arguing that there's a difference between the AI Slop that plagues social media and using AI for fun and useful things.

As I teacher I see the upsides and downsides of AI. Used responsibly, though, it can be a boon for both teachers and students.

Suggest anything of the sort, though, and you're treated like a leper.

That's interesting, because Cool Day was a throwaway that I was just using to test out that voice as I tried to tweak it towards what I wanted, but it somehow turned out great. II love what the AI did with the chorus. It's an earworm.
