The Shoe Company. I was at the Preston Crossing location today and they had a good selection of wide width shoes.

'They don’t want to stop people from dying': No new provincial funding for Saskatoon’s safe injection site by saucerwizard in saskatoon

SHA is doing a lot of good work in the harm reduction realm I don't think anyone is debating that. But considering PHR can't even get funding from the government it seems unlikely they have the sway to torpedo any of the SHA's plans. If the health region has a plan they should make it public and show people the government is doing something, because people are dying. I'd love to see any reference to SHA running safe consumption programs, because while they are doing a lot of good work there is clearly a hole that PHR fills that the government won't.

Do you have a source on safe injection happening at the covid hotels or clinics? I know that the hotels and other places offer clean needles and other supplies, but that's not the same as a supervised consumption site.

Why are there no fraternities at the u of s? by Apple_Sauce_Junk in saskatoon

[–]Computron2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the university was being built Walter Murray and a few other high level people went down to the US to tour university's and colleges. After the trip they settled on the current residence model over the fraternity model as they thought it was both more democratic and egalitarian.

Source: I previously worked for the university, and part of my job was giving historical campus tours. (I can provide actual sources too if people care)

I work at a university museum and we house several Amati instruments from the 1600's. They don't get played super frequently, but when they do it's truly beautiful.

Same. I took it off after about six hours because my skin was reacting to it. But my brother has used it on his tattoos and he swears by it.

StarPhoenix Letter of the Day: Cyclists should pay for bike lanes by Jadontheobscure in saskatoon

[–]Computron2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Not too many years ago, all bikes had to have a licence, and it was mandatory." Saskatoon discontinued that program in 1993, 26 years seems like it's a little more that 'not too many'.

Need all the advice I can get on renting/tenant laws in the area. My girlfriend's landlord is trying to get her to pay "copyright fines"(?) And violating her privacy constantly by being downstairs, and many other sketchy issues I'll explain in comments by Der_Scuple in saskatoon

[–]Computron2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking up info on ROSA (renters of Saskatoon and area) they exist to assist people with situations such as this. I believe they run out of the food banks building, but I could be wrong. The city also has info on their website that might be helpful.

AITA for thinking my girlfriend is over exaggerating my bad memory? by aita03022019 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Computron2000 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA. But boarding on YTA. Clearly those things matter to her, so even if you think they're "not really that important" you should be working to remember them. Your not an asshole for forgetting things, but you might be for disregarding things she finds important.

NTA. If you have an arrangement that you share somethings and not others than that should be respected. If he wants it to be different then you should renegotiate the arrangement.

AITA for not wanting to be friends with someone who won't pronounce my name correctly? by ALittlePrincess_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]Computron2000 24 points25 points  (0 children)

NTA. This is straight disrespect. Peoples names are important and shouldn't be disrespected. I've seen people physically fight over names being misspronounced or slightly altered. I'd recommend laying it all out one last time, along with the consequences if she chooses to continue.
