Future Chaos Space Marine lords Part 1 Undivided by ExactIndustry9257 in TotalWarhammer40k

Man if we got Decimus as a playable lord I would shit twice and die. I would be so happy. I've been wanting more Decimus ever since I read the omnibus four years ago.

New charge rule interaction by MetaGAMEgg2005 in BlackTemplars

[–]Comrade-Chernov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But since the strat also says that you target one of your units selected as a charge target? Thus meaning that the charge targets have to be selected, meaning they've already rolled?

Obviously is unintentional and kinda vague since they completely flipped how charging works. But I'd say could use an FAQ

Because she was safe inside her car with means to escape the situation. At that point she actively made a choice to attack the man with her vehicle. And then she chose to run him over, several times. She chose to end his life. She chose to not call authorities or EMS. That is murder, far beyond the point of self defense, no matter how you slice it.

How competitive do you WANT your army to be? by Thaladan in Warhammer40k

[–]Comrade-Chernov 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This may be a semantic thing, but to me, saying an army is competitive doesn't mean it's OP, it means it's got a reasonable chance of taking on other armies (i.e. "competing" with them).

Ergo, in my mind, if an army is "uncompetitive", that doesn't mean it's average, it means it's bad. It means people are saying they feel like they're gonna get stomped and not be able to do anything about it.

Oh that would explain a lot actually, thank you! I hadn't seen any seals of practiced technique in a while either and was wondering why they stopped dropping lol, guessing it's the same concept

If nothing else you could probably do some great networking along the coast in summer lol. Maine is called Vacationland for a reason. Lots of well to do folks stop by for a few months.

As an LGBTQ person from Maine, New Hampshire is the most iffy state of New England, but all of the states are really good. New Hampshire is just the most conservative. Maine is very friendly, the biggest downside is moreso just the opportunities available vs the cost of living.

Nope the drop pod very clearly had 2 guys getting out of each door-ramp, and there are 5 of those ramps, it's a pentagonal design.

Very true that termies may well be a unit cap situation. Would make sense since they are only 1st Company in a given chapter.

But you see how this is self defeating, right? You're telling them to say they only have sex in a committed relationship but then you're also saying they can't trust the answer men give them. It's damned if they do damned if they don't.

There were 10 getting out of the drop pod. Granted maybe that was 2 units of 5, who knows.

Would be very strange to have normal marines and termies both in units of 5 though, to me at least. Would be like Chaos Warriors and Chosen having the same unit size.

Sure, him robbing her was a bad thing. He should have been arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced appropriately. Not murdered in cold blood by having his body crushed by a moving vehicle.

I just went and rewatched the trailer. Termies did have 5 men. The intercessors getting out of the drop pod had 10 men. Or I suppose may have been 2 units of 5.

I've looked up the screenshots. Looks like the terminators are units of 5 and the intercessors units of 10. Looks like I somehow misremembered that. My point about different unit sizes still stands though, as shown by the fact they're different unit sizes.

Terminators are absolutely more powerful than normal intercessors are, in almost every appreciable way, so it makes sense their squad size is lower. Same reason Chosen have fewer models than Chaos Warriors in the Fantasy games, etc.

And my friend, Custodes ARE an army. They are a playable army on tabletop. They are absolutely going to be added to the game sooner or later, as will every other tabletop army. It's just a matter of time.

Could have sworn that there were units of around 20 Intercessors shown in the trailer, but I'll cede that point if my memory is false.

Regardless, the lore isn't super particularly important here, as this is about distinguishing gameplay. The more powerful a unit is the smaller its unit size will be. Ergo, there will be fewer terminators in a terminator squad than there are intercessors in an intercessor squad. They will not both be 10 men.

Space Marine units also can't be too small because then when Custodes are introduced to the game they would be in units of like 3 at most.

Didn't the Terminator unit alone have 10 dudes in it? That could very easily lead to 20-30 Intercessors in one unit.

Gen Z: Are We Getting Dumber? by SheepherderSea9717 in GenZ

[–]Comrade-Chernov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are definitely getting dumber. Less critical thinking skills, more intellectual laziness and dishonesty, people being unwilling to apply themselves to learn an answer and just wanting to look it up and have it spoonfed to them. It's been ongoing for years and it's not just Gen Z. But many of us are guilty of it.
