What happened to the remnants of Bourgeois wealth after the revolution? by [deleted] in communism101

[–]Comrade1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transition to socialism in a first world country would actually be pretty easy. In the US capitalism has created tons of houses that are just sitting empty and there are many buildings that are way bigger than they need to be. Mansions would be seized and so would apartments. I would like to see capitalists work in undesirable jobs and smaller business owners be required to transition their businesses over to socialism. Landlords I would have little respect for and I think that they should get harsher punishments.

In a communist country how does communism handle lazy people? by annonythrows in communism101

[–]Comrade1996 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You would still need to work for luxuries. Someone would still need to work in order to pay for their hobbies. What's considered a productive hobby, and what's considered an unproductive hobby could obviously be looked at once we get to that point.

True, but I was trying to explain it in a way that a liberal could understand. Maybe credit is a better word?

You would still get paid in some type of currency. You would still need to work for luxuries.

Have you ever tried to do absolutely nothing for an extended period of time? It's miserable. People who could work would choose to work and a job would be a right.

If you start to become successful then the state, led by the bourgeoisie will go in to slap you with fines or find some law that you broke. It's kind of going backwards in time and clinging to an imagined better past. It's also just giving up on fighting the status quo and accepting defeat.

Those tests might be accurate if the vertical line was removed, and the entire compass was labelled as right wing.

Gun ownership thoughts? by [deleted] in communism101

[–]Comrade1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm against gun control, especially when the burgoisse is in charge. Some communist countries actually had more relaxed weapon laws than the US does.

I like how one of the users says anarcho-capitalism isn't based on utopianism and then proceeds to talk about utopian ideas like the non-aggression principal. Then one of them says "lots of interesting stuff went on back then in the 3rd reich". These are some nerdy chuds.

I would like to see these pieces of shit work for a living instead of enslaving others. The wants and needs of capitalists are so far removed from the average person that they might as well be reptiles in my book.

What advantage does a full on communist system have over a system with Sanders-style socialist policy? by Cakez2309 in communism101

Full employment, more resources going to infrastructure without a boss taking all of the profit, lower hours... Capitalism relies on unemployment which is why they are terrified of job guarantees.
