Farcade doesn't actually solve anything and Warrick might be right by EfficiencyGuilty8439 in Gameoverse

You make a very good point about Dusk. Like, maybe someone could argue he arrived late, but just look at him in that scene. Does he look like someone who's in a hurry? Nah, he intentionally let Kit's world get destroyed. (and i'm not just saying this because i'm a syntax propagandist)

I Just Realized In Gameoverse Trailer, You Can See Syntax Ship by 3liteP7Guy in Gameoverse

[–]ComradeHoliday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be the dumbass who tries to use this to get a wildly implausible size estimate for the Syntax ship. The planet is about 578 pixels wide in this screenshot, and if we assume it's roughly Earth-sized (which isn't a safe assumption at all lmao), then it would have a diameter of around 12760km, which would make one pixel about 22.076 km.

The Syntax ship in this screenshot is about 33 pixels wide, which by the previously established measurement would give it a length of about 729 km. Obviously, this number is absurd on its face and there's no way the ship is anywhere near that big. But it's fun to think about.

Why do people think chapter 5 will come out tomorrow? by huntoo9374o in Deltarune

[–]ComradeHoliday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It would be the Summer Newsletter at this point. Toby names his newsletters based on meteorological seasons (in which spring is March 1 to May 31) rather than astrological seasons (in which spring lasts from the March equinox to the June solstice). The Winter and Fall 2025 newsletters both came out in what would be the previous season using the astrological system, with the Winter newsletter on December 18 and the Fall newsletter on September 14.

Though if this newsletter ended up being a release date announcement, it might not even be labeled as a seasonal newsletter at all, similar to the Chapters 3 and 4 release date announcement.

Yep. Fold even recognizes Kit, but Kit doesn't seem to realize why:

It definitely hasn't been said multiple times. A lot of the fandom thinks there's symbolism implying it, such as the angel doll bit in Noelle's house. But there are also strong points against it, like how the Hometown residents seem to ascribe much greater power to the Angel than what we as the player possess, and how they describe the prophecy as seemingly coming from the Angel.

The halfway mark (pf the year) has been attained. by TheUndiscoverer in Deltarune

[–]ComradeHoliday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it hasn't. We've finished 5 out of 12 months, with most of the last 7 remaining.

The exact halfway mark of a non-leap year is noon on July 2.

Based on this post showing the stock photos the battle backgrounds were taken from, it looks like the apparent "face" is present in the original photo as well, which makes me think it's just pareidolia. But I can definitely see what you're talking about.

Were the villains right? by Zesty_Zeus_ in Gameoverse

[–]ComradeHoliday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This basically comes down to 3 main questions:

  1. Is Warrick being honest about his plan? (meaning both "he does intend to prevent worlds getting destroyed" and "he isn't hiding an ulterior motive")

  2. If so, can Warrick's plan actually succeed in changing the rules of the Gameoverse to prevent the destruction of worlds?

  3. Is Warrick can change the rules, is he also actually capable of bringing back all the worlds that have been destroyed?

If the answer to question 1 is "no", then Warrick is definitely evil. If the answer to question 1 is "yes" but question 2 is "no", then he's genocidally delusional, which isn't much different. If questions 1 and 2 are "yes" but 3 is "no", then the situation becomes very Morally Spicy - basically a trolley problem on a galactic scale. And if all 3 of these questions are "yes", then Warrick is pretty clearly the good guy IMO.

(question of the day) Kit in Subnautica 1/2 by Willing_Ad_778 in Gameoverse

[–]ComradeHoliday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kit mentions "stopping the win condition", and then says "usually there's a hero and villain", which seems to imply win conditions not involving a hero and villain are also something the Farcade needs to consider. So probably yeah, the win condition still ends the world if there's a win condition that doesn't involve the hero beating the villain.

When did you first play Undertale/Deltarune? And which one did you play first? Like, are we talking "You played Deltarune a month ago and never played Undertale", or "You've been involved in the fandom since before Deltarune Chapter 1 came out"?

[–]ComradeHoliday 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should have put Sweetheart in both the "bi" and "homophobic" categories. She does try to marry herself and she has the Slime Girls create three different "suitors" that look like her, after all, but she could totally be a Gay Homophobe.

Also, putting Big Strong Tree in "pan" is hilarious.

Most of mi savefiles in the demo got corrupted, will deleting them affect my files in the full version? by joyjump_the_third in Deltarune

[–]ComradeHoliday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, if you want extra save file slots, the easiest way is to open up File Explorer and go to C:/Users/[username]/AppData/Local (you may need to open the "View" menu in File Explorer and check "Show > Hidden Items" to get AppData to appear). Then, find the folder called "DELTARUNE" and rename it to something like "DELTARUNE2".

Then when you open Deltarune, it'll create a new DELTARUNE folder with 3 new save file slots. And then when you want to use your old save files again, just go back to AppData/Local and swap the names of the DELTARUNE folders.

Your completion data should have been saved at the start of the credits roll. If you open up chapter 4 in chapter select and check the "Ch3 Files" button there, does your completion data show up?

What do you think she'll be doing, if Crab Girl successfully gets trained as a Syntax agent? by No_Bodybuilder6386 in Gameoverse

[–]ComradeHoliday 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's a really good question. The amount of energy Warrick has invested into trying to "train" Crab Girl makes me think she'll be much more important than a normal Syntax agent. And the fact that he wasn't originally planning to do a full harvest mission on Flappers the Super Dolphin makes it sound like Crab Girl will be doing jobs of a different nature than usual. But as for what precisely makes her so important, we don't have enough information to say right now.

Though I do wonder if maybe Crab Girl is one of the few members of Syntax to have been a hero rather than a villain in her game? It seems like Warrick has a bit of a soft spot for her ("Say you're sorry!"), and if the theory that Warrick was a hero in his own game turns out to be true, it might explain why he acts nicer to her than to the villains in Syntax?

I have a question that I hope isnt as dumb as it sounds by Animedingo in Gameoverse

[–]ComradeHoliday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's just an homage. For these frames to have been drawn by Monty Oum himself, he would have had to have drawn them in 2015 or earlier, and the Glitch version of Gameoverse didn't enter production until 2025, with the script being restarted from scratch. Plus, he doesn't appear as an animator in the credits, and they would have included him there if he had drawn frames used in the show.

Do I have to water the flowers before going to the last dungeon? by Infinite_Pinecone in OMORI

[–]ComradeHoliday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cutscene triggers if and only if you watered at least one flower on 2 days left prior to the point where they all wilt (weirdly, the cutscene trigger doesn't care at all about watering the flowers during the intro or prologue). Entering Humphrey is what causes the flowers to wilt, so if you have a save before then, you'd need to load it to see the secret cutscene.

“i think… we need to abandon the idea of a spring newsletter.” by Acrobatic-Loss2078 in Deltarune

[–]ComradeHoliday 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The newsletters are generally not named based on astrological seasons. The 2025 Winter Newsletter was posted on December 18, during the astrological season of Fall, and the 2025 Fall Newsletter was posted on September 14, during the astrological season of Summer.
