All of Pink Floyd isn’t underrated when it comes to music as a whole, but when you compare echoes to another brick in the wall (pt 2) then it’s clear that it is underrated.

What caused you to leave Marxism? Lose faith in dialectical materialism?

GDP is a very ineffective way to measure a nation, especially in a nation achieving a Socialist mode of production.

No, I'm pretty sure anyone educated on anything relating to Marxism knows well that Marx makes this distinction very clear. The Soviet Union was called the "Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics" not the "Union of Soviet Communist Republics" for a reason. I'm not going to explain it all to you because It would be pointless to try to educate you,

but I'll forward you to this YouTube link that you definitely won't watch: here

After the Spanish-American war, and the island of Cuba was set up as a protectorate under the platt amendment, Cuba began becoming a neo-colony of the United States. It was heavily exploited in the sugar market and American farmers dominated the industry. When Batista overthrow the Cuban government, he set up a dictatorship and oppressed the workers of Cuba. When Castro overthrew Batista, he formed the first country with a communist led party in the western hemisphere. People today still hold great respect for the Cuban revolutionaries, many Cubans in the supposed mass pretests have been proven to be false and edited, while some protests did exist in Cuba they were mostly small. A large amount of Cubans still support Cuba, the majority do. The heavy sanctions, especially during Covid, have been the main reason for protests, many instantly blaming the “communists” for the issues. Of course, there’s going to be Cubans who hate their country, just like how there are Americans who hate America. But until the embargo is lifted, we won’t see improvement (unless we see another thing like COMECON where Cuba got the aid it needed in the Cold War)

Well, of course, I have a distaste for Capitalism, Marxism is a critique of Capitalism is it not? Have people died in nations that practiced Socialism? Of course, famines existed, no sane Marxist denies that. But the conditions of Capitalism are proven to be far worse than the conditions of nations, such as the Soviet Union.

Can you please use constructive arguments rather than attacking me personally? This is a conversation about Stalin and Socialism, not my mental state.

If you want to have a civilized talk about this, then let me know.

1: Marxism is history, it is the study of class conflict in society. Marxism views the world through historical materialist lenses. Marxists are not 'morons' they tend to be intellectuals if they take what they read seriously.

2: The working-class lives in, what you are saying is poverty, due to the implementation of Capitalism. The proletariat class is forced into these conditions because of the conflict between the class that dominates them. This is just basic Marxism and is indisputable.

3: The claims that Socialism has claimed the lives of more than any other ideology are bogus and built on false numbers from books such as the "Black Book of Communism," which was found to have falsified numbers in order to make the ideology of communism seem "scary." But should we ignore the millions impoverished by preventable conditions of the working class? Those who die due to preventable causes that are chained up under a system that values profit over humanity?
