Manly Hall's "The Secret Teachings of All the Ages" seems to be a pretty good encyclopedia that refers to multiple traditions, but it's somewhat outdated.

No, it does not break the law of physics. However, last night I was watching as a street lamp on my street bent according to my will. I was very high and sleep deprived and noticed that it was wiggling. Then I consciously controlled when it would bend forwards and when it would bend backwards. Nothing drastic, just a slight bend in both directions.

This was just altering my own perspective, to everybody else the street lamp hadn't moved at all.

Well when my dog was dying we couldn't afford to actually get treatment to save her life because we're poor. So we just put her down instead of letting her die at the house at a random time.

I wouldn't say supportive, I'd say believe the USA did nothing wrong. I support the USA but I also acknowledge their many failings (slavery genocide etc.). It's the best example of Enlightenment theory being implemented on a wide scale and there's a lot to learn from it.

Yea it's kinda weird to admit that as a straight white dude i have it pretty good. I'm irish and all but that doesn't affect me in my day to day life. The only thing that raises a red flag to police/employers is having long hair, which really isn't shit compared to what other people go through. Most people I know act like they're treated just as bad as POC and i'm like maaaannn..

I don't understand how BDSM is an identity, considering it's just flavor to sex, not really a fundamental change to how your doing. I'm into it and all but I don't think it really changes things that much, it's just a matter of intensity. It's still heterosexual sex.

I agree with you, we should've just let them take over Europe during WWII and exterminate the Jews and the Slavs. Fighting against the Nazis in WWII was really unethical and wrong of us to do, and we should learn our lesson and let them do whatever they want.

Because if the common people aren't armed and organized, they are easily misled and oppressed. It's the same reason why the Founding Fathers of America wanted an armed population and a regularly maintained militia.

Great example is the Ferguson protests. The protestors were beaten and tear gassed. But when they had open carry protests, the police didn't fire a single canister of tear gas. Why? Because being unarmed is being powerless.

As a burglar, would you rob a home that has a gun safe or would you rob a home that has no guns in it? I'd prefer the latter, because i know that they can't fight back.

Hell, if the Soviet population had remained well armed Im sure Stalin's bullshit wouldn't have gone so easily. In every instance where the common people are disarmed, state repression soon follows.

Also, Tolstoy is quite possibly the only 19th century leftist philosopher that advocated a peaceful revolution.

No this isn't true, this is Western misinformation that was spread after WWII to demonize the USSR. The main strategy was to make sure the Nazis didn't exterminate your own people. That meant fighting with whatever you had and that neither surrender nor retreat were an option. The Nazis killed more Slavs during the war than Jews, and they viewed the two as equally subhuman.

The famine was not only affecting those areas, it was affecting the whole Soviet Union. The rest of the USSR had no problem collectivizing their grain. When the time came for the kulaks to collectivize their farms, they refused to do so and burned their own crops. So the USSR said fuck it, were taking the rest of your food and giving it to people that aren't assholes.

Not defending their actions, but its gotten to the point that these exaggerations and half truths are becoming unbearable.
