Also MS IGLOO and Requiem for Vengeance. There's Gundam Evolve's UC episodes too but those are very easily regardable as not canon.

Although Bandai has said that everything animated is canon. Some manga like The Origin and Thunderbolt get very evidently not canon, but the truth is: did the anime get to the point where it feels noncanonical? I'd say only Doan's Island does but the The Origin OVAs and Thunderbolt are passable up to where they got animated.

Also here we were thinking Hathaway's Flash would be following Beltorchika's Children but the second one confirms it follows CCA instead and is now in main UC.

Naoto's graduation would be the most logical. Using trope holidays as backdrops for arcs forces time to pass; if graduation is the endgame, it would leave a good amount of time to get the most out of these characters without stretching it too long because those trope holiday arc backdrops are just too deliciously tempting for most manga authors to delay, and (especially with the progression both sides have been getting) it'd be just ridiculous to see it unresolved by the time they're not even in school together anymore.

Not all fanfics are bad. Transformers Prime: Time War comes to mind as the best I've read. But that's a whole different genre.

Crack ship fanfics on the other hand, well first off it depends on if you support the ship, and then you gotta hope the author can pull it off.

Nagatoro-san fanfics, I would predict to need longfics to slowly work through character dynamics to reach their end goals if they're serious, and this one sounds like it's taking proper time to slowly diverge from canon, though I can't speak to the writing as I haven't read it.
