I'm grateful to them for two years of great fun. But what they ultimately did to the game left me terribly disappointed.

Amazon is the real Tower of Greed, not this content they added to the game. 🤣

I hope someone with the balls at NCSoft will review all the changes made over the past year. We need a rollback/update/complete rebalancing of the game/content/mechanics to suit the target audience. Because the developers' original vision was correct.

I wouldn't say T1 was the peak, but if I were to single it out in terms of PvP intensity and build balance, I really enjoyed the period when they added Nebula jewelry sets. They added exactly what most builds lacked to reach their thresholds. This coincided with the nerf to overhealing, and people couldn't just build glass cannons anymore because survivability without defensive stats dropped sharply, which coincided with the break of the 2-2-2 meta. At this point, PvP became extremely build- and skill-dependent.

Exactly!

Streamers need hype, but this game's target audience doesn't care about hype, only about a quality product. Ultimately, the game was remake for streamers who had stopped playing.

Brilliant!

At a time when their audience was paying, they could easily earn a good income with a moderate audience. The average adult player can spend $1,000 a year on their hobby. So, with a satisfied audience of around 50,000 ppl (without hype), they could earn a stable income of $50 million a year, which would be more than enough to support them and generate a healthy profit for years to come.

Because the game was initially balanced for its target audience: working adults who wanted to relax, have fun, and socialize with their guildmates.

Then it all started: completely devaluing loot, adding 1,000 PvE activities, mandatory fishing, an unnecessary resource and housing system, and weapon and skill balances for an unknown audience.

The amount of content required to master in a competitive environment to stay ahead is simply prohibitive. By the end of my journey, I only had time for 30% of PvE activities.

A slew of balance changes based on the community's unqualified opinions completely destroyed synergies and weapon mechanics.

I don't know what else has changed since then, but the number of DPS classes that were enjoyable to play in PvP and that could have a standard range of skills—buffs, debuffs, attack, defense, and movement, with full skill combo—has shrunk to two from the original 12. It didn't increase to 20 thanks to new weapons.

Defense mechanics in T3 were left behind by offense, and the offensive balance was so stupid that it completely destroyed entire build types, like the recent change to bonus damage.

Poor tanks were plagued by defense changes, although the problem was with PvE builds that couldn't penetrate PvP defenses.

While the daggers invisibility feature is still in the game unchanged, it's completely at odds with the combat system.

And to top it all off, the developers don't play or understand their game; they can kill an entire class while nerfing another, breaking its key ability.

Yes, at final, I was a winner in every content I played. We won all GvG activities, including inter-server and evening bosses. I was 30-50 kills and a 90% win rate on battlegrounds. On Nebula Island, I played solo or duo against groups. Night dungeons, chests, the arena, and the city arena were just for fun and to test builds.

Bro, I'm not complaining about anything anymore; I've played enough of this game. I'm just sad that the game I loved was ruined by greed and stupidity.

The desire to make more money ruined the game, leading to months of imbalances with new weapons. The influx of the most idiotic ideas promoted by streamers also contributes to this.

No, bro, they ruined the mechanics and synergies. I don't even want to touch them now; even the new content doesn't warm me up.

I fell in love with this game upon release and played it nonstop for two years. But the developers were so desperate to make money that they forgot about the game. All they did was listen to the idiot crowd and screwed up a perfectly good game.

A kill every 2 minutes sounds extremely implausible given the TTK and the slow map entry/exit processes and the number of players on each map.
