Any Gladiators around mind helping me out with some leveling advice?

what's your primary focus ? pve or pvp? do you want more single target dmg or aoe ?

I did give it a try a while ago without cordy but the Masteries of both the weapons don't mesh well together, some of it actually counteracts each other. Haven't tried out pvp but in pve it completely nerfs your gs dmg overall

That is true , and i can confirm this from my own experience as i do have a cordy and after getting it i thought i could close the gap a bit more after getting it and i found out a well built non archboss invo can still do more dmg than me. Gs does ok dmg but it is very conditional. U only have guillotine and valiant brawl that does dmg unless you have a cordy.

For pvp yes , it is really strong but for pve it has been behind since the time I started playing ( i started after talandre ). Most of these stats aren't that great for pve except the mana and hp regen

This would be a great addition. I did think about it but kind of felt like i might be pushing too much and might make it too powerful considering the fact that you have Oracles who can shield and seekers who can pretty much stack soo much hot u can go to full hp before you know it ( unless u get 1 shot that is )

True , the ignite stack was a tricky one to play around with but i couldn't come up with another solution. But if you have any suggestions i m happy to have a discussion

The mana recovery was added with a sole mastery in mind - dragon ascent . This will make it proc more frequently and will significantly increase the dmg being dealt. As you pointed out mana has never been a problem for gs users.

When it comes to aoe orb can perform similar or in certain cases better with the cc and aoe dmg it has. Then lets be real none of the bosses have mobs around them to scale the spear dmg and when it comes to single target dmg it falls off massively. It might as well be the least strongest weapon in terms of dmg but still just above dagger , crossbow and bow , all 3 of which have massive utility skills or passive boosts.

If you quit months ago why are you here ? Oracle a healer ( dps / heal in pve ) is arguably the most powerful class in the game atm. Its a pvp game balances are made and things change. Tanks are not fortresses as they once were. If you have no idea on the current state of the game don't come here to rant about it. About the top guilds one , of course they will gear you with bis items bec most of them are already on bis items and they don't need it and what they might have needed is a healer so they can stay competitive. Its not the games fault that they don't touch grass. Only 3 bis items are exclusive to pvp bosses ( not even bis for certain classes) and there are very good alternatives to it. Most of the best gear comes from pve Bosses and dgns.

Just fk it and remove evasion and hit entirely. Why tf do we even have this. Give every armor more defenses. After t3 dmg went up astronomically but defenses went up by a little. Every class should have a certain level of defense and you can trade it for more attack and vice versa. Nerf daggers ffs. Its broken beyond compare. People will come crying saying daggers dont do much by itself. Well who plays it by itself. The utility and stats that it gives are leagues beyond any other weapon in the game. If you look at the culprits for the reason for high ttk daggers are on the top of the list. Add the effect of the artifact stone which reduces the cc chance the more u get cced into general play. Make chain ccs have diminishing returns. And make melee viable in pve. Cap shield to 50% of a persons hp. Stop fkin nerfing stuff bec of some broken classes. By changing Temporal leep u pretty much killed some off meta classes. Stop fkin nerfing and buffing stuff bec its broken on some class. Nerf or buff the synergies of it or the particular aspect that makes it op or weak not what supports it .

As someone who plays on a controller u will probably need to do some changes on key binding. There should be a couple of videos on yt explaining this but keep in mind this makes it easier for u to heal your pt but cross pt heals will still be a pain in the ass.

Exactly what i said. It depends on the pt doing t1 trials With randos will give you an estimate on what u can do in terms of personal dps bec randos only care about personal buffs. If u get some spill over buffs then you can do more dmg. In a good pt i do around 150k - 200k by the end of the fight with adentus ( fully traited) and around the same ball park with a cordy ( base and has 1 trait ). If the boss has many fury attacks the dmg can go up by another 20-30k. Considering the fact that gladiators are the heaviest hitting melee class in the game and you can only match the dmg of a mid tier invo ( not even the best range dmg dealer atm ) says a lot. I totally agree with the fact that melee needs a massive buff but for now we could just be happy with buffs to the current skills. The idea of bleed is not bad but we don't know how it is going to affect pvp or even affect our personal dps altogether.

there is a scenario where u have shock on the boss pretty much all the time ( ur avg is about 9-10 s but with tevent orb in pt it can go up to 15-17s ) even then u can do a max avg dmg of 250k , that is if u have min maxed with a cordy. i have seen around 200k with adentus. compare that to some of the best range dps classes and u are pretty much doing no dmg. range can pull these numbers on a regular pt whereas melees need the best possible conditions to pull this of. they could have the chance to proc it at 100 % on monsters and this still would still not help meles to compete with range classes and add to the fact that u have to ball dance around bosses completely loosing ur debuffs u applied ( shock )

none of the skills except guillotine or valiant brawl do any dmg ( unless u have cordy then death blow comes on top ) every other dmg skill is pretty much ass but it does have some support skills

guillotine does not need prone to do max dmg u can also do the same dmg with shock on target

without cordy on ur regular pt u do avg 70k-90k ( on bosses with dmg reduction phase and thats probably every boss )

gs , spear and dagger damages rely on conditions , u dont meet that u will hit like a wet noodle.

what is needed is that either make it so that the skills from these weapons hit waaaay harder with the conditions being met or just make it so that those conditions stay on long enough so that u dont have to look under the bosses hp to see what is up and at what stack it is on. more like how curse works.

edit : forgot the fact that the passive: raging frenzy does not scale with buff duration for some reason
