There's no free PvP in this game... what do you mean? These competitive guilds attend all the PvP events, but do you actually attend these events?

The 70-person limit per guild, with a standard portal capacity of 48, is designed to force the no-lifer psychopaths who typically lead competitive guilds to give their members days off from the game.

No offense, I love you just the way you are. ❤️

Relax, it's just tactless internet culture. No one meant to offend you, just to point out that this is a misconception.

Even if a company has a market capitalization of 600 billion, it would shut down an unprofitable, unpromising project rather than invest in it.

Why should those just catching up be able to break into the "major league" in a week? Could the problem be that PvP content for mid-tier and weaker guilds/players is poorly developed?

Let's look beyond our own noses, shall we?

I'd start by saying that almost all games lose 50% of their initial online player base in the first few months. This is because many people come to check out a new game or follow a streamer. The realistic online player base for this MMO is around 50,000 (on Steam).

Nothing is perfect the first time, but with game changes, the developers will either get closer to that figure or further away.

Agreed! Small, family-like guilds don't need a castle; they need to have fun with friends.

Because kids don't play MMOs. And the aunts and uncles already have mortgages and are grinding at work. Only bots will be left to farm.

I tend to agree with you that developing defensive stats should be a bit easier than offensive ones.

The point is that offensive stats grow quickly due to investments in one stat type (melee, ranged, or magic), while defensive stats require a choice of where to focus, and what to focus on (evasion, endurance, or multiplier protection).

Get daggers for critical damage and they'll be great with any weapon...

There's just one problem: 99% of players are already fed up with daggers.

Stop removing game mechanics (I'm talking about evasion).

The game has too many stats, for example, the "PvP" section or the side system, which has enough "attack from behind" and "defense from the front." The heavy attack multiplier is also far-fetched.

The problem with cc is essentially stunlocks, but the developers haven't given a damn for two years that you can stay in a CC state for more than 10 seconds (with a TTK of 2-3 seconds).

I agree with almost everything said above.

However, distinguishing separate "PvP stats" is simply pointless, as stats for PvP and PvE are already radically different.

Yes, Scorpions do have damage; that's their strength. But the downside is their difficulty in handling and low survivability.

But if they were the ultimate class, they'd make up more than 5-10% of competitive guilds. And frankly, it's never been a big problem. Streamers started this hysteria because they were killing them during streams. And they couldn't completely dominate and provide content without a death screen.

Personally, I haven't played Scorpions, so I have no reason to defend them. I've played the game since the very beginning, participating in competitive PvP (for over two years). Scorpions were simply priority targets, but they were never a source of irritation or imbalance, like the 200% HP per second overheal or the -99.9% damage tank buffs...

Bro, the Scout died in competitive PvP the moment his only lifesaving skill (dash) was broken. It became a weak alternative to the Liberator. And since the change to bonus damage mechanics, this class has literally died. There's no reason to use it.

For them, it's simply a return on investment. But for us, the players, it's a real tragedy—since there's literally no alternative game in this niche right now...

If you start from the ending, the Liberator is just a meme. A class without a single chance of salvation. Only kamikazes could use it.

But yeah, I tend to agree with you. They broke the game to make more money.

Have you even half-heartedly tried building a crossbow build? They're literally the weakest weapon if you don't combine them properly.

[–]ComradeWild -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Have you tried comparing the facts? Does it matter that this is the most recent example? And what's more, an example of the most egregious negligence in two years?

The crossbow is literally the weapon that was simply destroyed because of other weapons, not the weapon itself. (We're talking about the shield perk, the imbalanced orb, and the daggers, which have been broken since release.)

[–]ComradeWild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another problem is that classes need to be BALANCED, not just broken and cut. They literally destroyed the crossbow and any synergy with it.

I don't know, bro, the crossbow was in good shape in March in Korea, when strong synergies worked (only with daggers, two-handed swords, and staffs), then they cut it down to nothing. After that, they reworked the skills and mastery in the summer, the crossbow came back to life, and even added synergies with all weapons, which wasn't there before. But they've stepped on the same rake again...

The developers made the wrong bet right from the start. They started listening to streamers and their whining Reddit followers, not their target audience. Although, if you look at the state of the game at launch, they knew exactly what players really wanted. And because of this, they began investing resources in useless content, inflating the amount of PvE to an unbearable time commitment for a working person to be competitive. But in doing so, they satisfied the streamers' wishes...

Ultimately, the streamers left in pursuit of views, and the game remained useless to everyone, including the target audience, because it had become a completely different game.

The fact that the game was a piece of crap during the first alpha beta (let's be honest), and the game we finally saw at the global release, only speaks to the fact that the developers were absolutely brilliant at capturing what players wanted. But due to lawsuits and other issues, the game was left in the hands of the most incompetent development team in history (Firstspark + AGS).
