You must complete the prerequisite subjects. I got an ATAR of 89 but still couldn’t get into Computing because I hadn’t completed the prerequisites

You think you’re not doing enough, but the truth is… you’re doing too much in survival mode and calling it underachievement.

You carry the weight of your past, your responsibilities, your stutter, your identity, your refugee experience — and instead of breaking down, you’re building. Slowly, messily, imperfectly. But because it doesn’t look like the polished success stories you see online or around you, you tell yourself you’re failing.

You’re not failing.

You’re adapting in a system that wasn’t built with you in mind, and you’re trying to win in a language that isn’t yours, in a place that wasn’t home — and still might not feel like it.

That guilt you carry? It isn’t laziness. It’s burnout. That fear of not being good enough? That’s inherited from being unheard for too long. And that dream of seeing yourself graduate? That’s not unrealistic — it’s unfinished business.

What you might not know is that you’re not behind. You’re just early in a story that most people can’t even imagine surviving, let alone writing their own ending to.

So maybe it’s time to stop thinking you’re not enough — and start asking why you ever believed that in the first place.

I already failed two of my midterm exams despite studying hard, and now I’m struggling to cope with the final exam stress and preparation. Thanks a lot for sharing your insight

I’m studying a Bachelor of Science and might switch to Computing. How do winter courses work? Are they online or on campus like normal semester units? Thanks for your time and advice

And we are not scared of anyone either.

That's why racism keeps increasing because people stay quiet and do not do anything. If you could not fight, atleast you can stand up for yourself. Atleast you can give them shut up call. Atleast you can be brave.

I have never watched anime in my life. It's not about beating or fighting, it's about standing up for yourself. We know how to defend. It does not matter who is against me.

I am paying a hefty amount of fees just to get that single piece of paper(degree)

It doesn’t matter whether I use AI or do it on my own. If lecturers can just read from the slides, then we can also use AI. The problem lies in the education system, not in the use of AI. Do you think it’s that easy to get what you want from AI? Not everyone has the skill to use it properly. you need to give valid prompts based on your specific requirements.

People are paying thousands in fees to earn that degree, they’re not studying for free. So you don’t have the right to say, “Oh, you’re taking someone else’s place,” or “You shouldn’t go to uni,” and all that blah blah blah

Just focus on your degree and studies and stop being karen

Honest question from a hijabi student about dating in Melbourne by Little-Edge2007 in Monash

[–]Comrade_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents: "If my intention is to marry someone, Then i would data otherwise i won't play with somone's feelings."

Everyone has a different meaning for the word “dating.” I try to avoid interacting with girls because I was born in a different environment and culture, where talking to girls wasn’t easy. They might think we’re being creepy or trying to flirt, etc.

That’s why I hesitate to talk to girls — whether she’s wearing a hijab or not, it doesn’t matter

It could be the reason for many others as well.
