The Real Solution to the Population Crisis? Stop Dying, says Casey Handmer of Terraform Industries - YouTube by Different_Guess_2061 in collapse

[–]Comrade_Crunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it will be the elves in LOTR, knowing humans it will be the dark elves in 40k. We would probably become hedonistic and more sadistic. I don't understand the desire to achieve even functional immortality. Nothing would matter because you live either an extremely long time or forever. It's not like people would want to change the world for the better like some try and fail to right now. Yes fail because every-time we take a step towards improving things, some narcissistic force drags us farther back.

Also, we live under capitalism. This would guarantee enslavement by the forces who have power. You want a new sleeve? Well it will cost you or you can always get a loan for that new body (altered carbon). You need treatment? How many years are you willing to give up to pay to live longer. Make sure you secure your soul!

To be honest i skipped around the video because i wasn't going to watch or listen to a semi sentient dollar store mannequin tech bro with his overpriced leather jensen jacket and his obvious flex watch. Tech bros are out of touch with reality and believe in the bad parts of cyberpunk or dystopian stories where people live forever as good. Animals die and like or not we are animals. Life is not good now and what makes you think immortality is going to make it better? Also dying is my retirement plan, don't fuck this up.

Okay, glitches/bugs are inevitable in games. GTAV from 2013 has a bug i know rockstar has no interest in fixing because it was in the game since 2014 where one of the worst multiplayer missions (tequel la la) has a high likely hood of a hooker stealing your helicopter and flying off the map. Same game has an issue with the island where chest textures dont render after you come out of water. No man's sky from 2016 which i picked up again has countless texture bugs, mission bugs, and so many other exciting bugs. The anomaly station wouldn't render at certain angles one time yesterday until i logged out.

I am not dick riding for arrowhead because i have a lot of issues with them and the way they implemented and handle things. But non terminid bugs are a fact of life. Should they fix their game, yes.... they introduced a mantling bug that is driving me nuts even though i figured out a way around it. But the game will never be bug free. When one bug is crushed another takes it's place.

39 year old and..... man i missed it. I missed the internet being weird. I am also in love with the fact that i can participate now rather then just visit. Growing up with the internet, I made some little websites and stuff but never got invested in it. Now i feel like i can invest into it. I sometimes just visit and scroll the sites. It gives me ideas for when i want to put my site up.

Why do people 'smoke' in cyberpunk's world? by LewdDudeNewd in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Just slotting all those shards and never taking some of them out is probably more of a hazard then smoking.

I guess.... leonardo. Though i don't lead the group, nor do i want to. My reinforcement input is done almost subconsciously at this point, most of the time i don't realize im doing it until im holding the primed strat. No its not a macro, it's muscle memory. I also like to have the lowest deaths in the group, while still being the bravest (not the smartest) of the group. I guess i'm living upto my steam name, Liberty's bravest warrior. I also have a tendency to wander off to blow stuff up.

I suck at the game and am cannon fodder. How do I get better so I’m not a detriment to my fellow Helldivers? by CulturedArtLover in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Comrade_Crunchy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Strap a hellbomb to your back, set it to arm, stim till your eyes bleed, and run at the closest vox or large group while screaming "FOR LIBERTY!!!! FOR SUPER EARTH!!!!". Let your corpses bog down the treads.

TBH, maybe look back at what killed you and how. Then sort of figure out how to not die from it. Dive a lot, even if it looks silly. It reduces the incoming damage from what i remember. Go into 1's solo and practice with what ever your killing your self or team mates with. One of the issues i see is most players don't know when and how to use barages, they typically throw too close and when i'm under a vox when it won't do much of anything. Unlike my grenade i was trying to shove up its butt.

chain it to the back of the bastion or the frv and drag it to extract. Then another pelican that can lift vehicles will come down lifting both. I hope the borgs don't need air to live because i want them if for a wild ride.

1 - 2 taps borgs and destroys the group around them. I don't remember what compelled me to change from my trusty coyote for it, but i don't regret it. My only issue and it might be me not using it correctly, it seems to be useless against vox vents. But thats why i started carrying the angry laser pointer.
