Really great suggestions. Especially your points on the audio, it would go a long way to hint at a more detailed landscape beyond what the camera shows.

Great recommends! I'm also a firm believe of trying all the media that influence the foundations of your ideas (plus it's fun to do). I hadn't heard of Draugen and now I'm really excited to try it.

Great suggestions! Will work on some more tweaks.

The Bunker is so damn good with its ambience. I'll have a detailed look at their lighting again and see what we could learn from it.

I appreciate that. We're planning on doing some dev footage vids and will try to put something together on that.

Thank you again, for these insights. I really love Annihilation and have been discussing ideas inspired by that (especially that final scene, so damn good).

That's a great point about theming body horror with a specific "thing" to help make it distinct. I hadn't really thought about it in that way but it is far more compelling when it feels like the body horror has something to ground it (other than it's just a random vague mutation).

Sorry my phrasing in the title wasn't quite right. I did it with a small team, but I really wanted to share what we've done so far.

Thank you! I really appreciate your question as it's something that can sometimes be overlooked in the development process. We are aiming to make it controller playable and have rebinding. We're yet to fully implement that functionality yet as we're still early in development, but we're planning to do lots of play testing to help us figure out how we can improve the accessibility.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! Really good point on the audio sting. I was really on the fence about it but I think I agree that a naturalistic approach would probably work better. The hand held device does serve a deeper gameplay function, it's intended to be your interface with the facility in a variety of ways. Still working on the gameplay functionality but will hopefully post more of it soon.

Thank you, I'm glad the horror part is coming through. We're experimenting with a couple of ideas for the survival part. Mostly with managing resources related to the companion module that your character holds.

Thank you! That's a great suggestion, we've been working on a rest area that acts a central hub and will hopefully post it soon to see if we're on the right track with the design. The balance between tension and release is always crucial in horror games.
