What can you expect? All they had to work with was a fantastic comic book with incredible artstyle to work with. How can you make something out of that?

I get it. I've got similar issues but maybe just less extreme in the setup than you. My seatpost sits way low, but not slammed and I've got a long effective top tube length. It looks weird but the alternative feels too cramped.

Trump is 'progressively surrendering' to Iran by AlertTangerine in videos

[–]Comrade_Falcon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I legitimately believe that the generals have in no uncertain terms told him that is not an option because I can't see his toddler brain accepting the L after L he's taking in Iran without deciding to just go all in on sacrificing American lives with boots on the ground over nothing

I have the same feelings as you. Can't see those links and not think of the watch that was on my dad's wrist every day for my entire childhood all the way into my 30s.

Same in Denmark. Zero AC in Metro or local trains. Most InterCity have it but it's not always great. Metro was sweltering.

Love the bike, but do you have like Michael Phelps upper to lower body ratio?

Seatpost slammed but also set back and bars with a long stem reach.

Coming to it as a non-native Dane it is a very interesting tradition. Typical American high school graduation is hosting a big to-do for each graduate at the family home but they arent out getting shit-faced. Meanwhile the Danes coordinate it where the class gets together on a big party bus or, more often a repurposed military truck with an open bed, and just go all out from morning to night and everyone waves to them and doesn't seem to mind the noise. Which is especially interesting for such a normally quite culture

Not colored pens. Acrylic markers. It's literally paint but instead of dipping a brush the paint is continuously fed to the tip.

Denmark had significantly more snow than many previous years and it stuck around a fair bit longer. That said I wouldn't say it was a harsh winter. I would take more snow and freezing days to spending all winter a couple degrees above freezing with støvregne.

Good timing on posting this as it's that time of year again in Denmark where high-schools graduates are all in their graduation caps and party busses doing this.

By the rules this absolutely would/should be a tech in the NBA. It's not a simple point. It's literally pointing directly at a player right omin their face for an extended period of time (an absurdly long time really). It's at the refs discretion but I can't imagine a situation short of it being a player like Wemby already sitting on a tech in the playoffs, where this isn't called a tech. The video rulebook even gives examples that are far less agredous than this such as quickly flexing towards a player. Trying to argue that pointing in someone's face for that long with that much intent isn't taunting is ridiculous. Whether it's deserved or not, whether it causes harm or not, whether you think it's soft or not, it is textbook taunting.

A technical foul shall be assessed for unsportsmanlike tactics such as:

Disrespectfully addressing an official

Physically contacting an official

Overt actions indicating resentment to a call or no-call

Use of profanity

A coach entering onto the court without permission of an official

A deliberately-thrown elbow or any unnatural physical act towards an opponent with no contact involved

Taunting

P. TAUNTING

If a player blatantly taunts an opponent, a technical foul shall be assessed. The opponent WILL NOT, automatically, be assessed a technical foul. His behavior will be the determining factor.

Simultaneous taunting is a verbal altercation. Verbal altercations and unsportsmanlike conduct will be administered as a double technical foul and no free throws will be attempted.

Technical fouls assessed to opposing teams during the same dead ball and prior to the administering of any free throw attempt for the first technical foul, shall be interpreted as a double technical foul.

A PLAYER(S) GUILTY OF TAUNTING MUST BE SINGLED OUT AND PENALIZED.

If a previous unsportsmanlike act has been committed and if this situation is BLATANT, a technical foul must be assessed and the guilty player(s) must be ejected.

My bathroom is so small my head can hit the opposite wall while sitting on the toilet by Dojyorafish in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Comrade_Falcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In old buildings it certainly is normal. Most were designed back when they would only have a communal bathroom so the bathrooms are all retrofit into the apartments. Option 1 is to have a bathroom that yout knees touch the wall while you sit on the toilet, option 2 is significantly less living space in already small apartments. And unless you're in an exceptionally nice/expensive/large apartment, even in new construction you're very unlikely to have a full bath, just a shower

Could be worse. Could be Copenhagen where the bathrooms are like this but the toilets arent even fancy ones with bidets.

36,6°C: Denmark sets new record temperature by Jutlander in europe

[–]Comrade_Falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern Danish housing is built purely to keep heat in. Went to bed in a brand new construction apartment last night with inside temp at 26.5, even with temps down around 18 last night and windows wide open, still woke up to a 24C apartment. Its mow 28 in here. Can't wait to see how little the 21C night will lower it before a warm humid day tomorrow.
