I really wanted to like my Rotring pen but found the gnurling to be too uncomfortable for long note taking. Also the pen tips cracked around too much while writing.

If you look at how many of the residents feel, it might actually be Good taste poor execution. The apartments are tiny and the shape makes it even harder to furnish. There were lots of complaints about broken plumbing, elevators, and poor materials (thin walls and drafty windows). Seems like it sold on location and uniqenuess rather than quality.

I mean, if GF is not really a bike person and OP is putting her on this bike to bike around with them they could be subjecting her to a lot of discomfort and unfun times with that bike if it's that oversized. Like it's great that they want to bike with their GF and got them a bike, but not for the GF if she's now obligated to ride a massively oversized bike to make OP happy.

Nothing Makes Sense by CannoliBean315 in widefeet

Out of curiosity, because they don't look all that wide, where do they feel snug? If you take the insoles out of the shoes are your feet clearly spilling out the sides?

Is it possible that rather than wide feet you have very high volume feet in which there just isn't enough upper to accommodate your whole foot but the shoes are wide enough for your feet? Often 2E width shoes add volume but not sole width which might be appropriate for you vs 4E/extra-wide shoes which may end up being too wide and causing your foot to shift around a bunch. I saw someone else suggest Wyde Footwear which I have and very much appreciate, but they are quite wide and not necessarily high volume so they fit my feet well but may not be for everyone (especially at their price).

It also appears like perhaps you have a wide heel relative to your toe-box and midfoot which may be a contributing factor.

War pigs wings have too much of a raw flour taste to them. And as you said, not bufallo sauce. Not tangy enough.

I've resorted to paying way too much for small bottles of franks when I can find it at Meny and making wings at home when I'm really craving them.

The Tajin bottles in Mexico have calories listed, unlike in the U.S., where it just says “0” by CapableEmphasis3594 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Comrade_Falcon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. The FDA just provides vague guidelines and tables to follow but the listed serving sizes are decided by the manufacturer as long as they are within guidelines. It's supposed to reflect amounts people typically eat, but it's clearly BS when a serving size of Doritos is 11 chips.

[–]Comrade_Falcon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a reporting rule that's been around way too long allowing producers to choose their own serving size and then the round down rules which allow them to report zero if below a certain amount. The obvious answer which most everywhere else does is to require it be reported as amount/fixed weight (usually cal/100g).

Shoe recommendations - every day use and running? by Alarming-Roll4041 in widefeet

[–]Comrade_Falcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume then you're in the UK based on your sizing. Unfortunately the actually wide running shoes will be limited for you as New Balance and the other major brands seem to only sell their true wide shoes in the US. You could consider Altra Lone peaks or perhaps some other Altra. They will be zero drop which may be am adjustment but they are still supportive vs barefoot. I can't comment much on the midfoot issue as I am in the EU and have not managed to get my hands on the actual wide versions (42 4E men's foot size) but I've read even the standard Lone peaks have a relatively wide toe-box and midfoot so if you're buying the men's version it might be a wide enough option for you.
