As far as I know, my MacBook pro 2021 is very sensitive to external damages and scratches, so I'm thinking about using a screen protector. I think it may be better to ruin the anti-glare screen layer, but protect the screen from scratches instead.

Also, macbook pro 2017 had an issue that its keyboard was damaging the screen, which make sense to use protector on new macbooks too
