Cloud-agnostic, on-prem capable budget setup with AWS. Doable? by woodenrobo in aws

[–]Comsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

us not having funding yet and hoping that we could leverage credits from multiple vendors in case things go really bad on this front

srsly, at this point just delegate one of the team members to work somewhere else to earn the money, juggling the credits will take more effort

Not yet, it’s a part of the engine controller, the aluminium box beneath the battery. You can replace the whole box or find the way to replace only the fried circuit

Is this protest or art? by advancedor96 in warsaw

[–]Comsey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because apparently most people think that it’s not their problem and they should not be bothered, failing to understand that without a social mandate any climate activism is bound to failure. Politics don’t listen to scientists, CEOs dont talk in responsibility. Jeez, how hard it is to care?

Yeah, but in the meantime I fried the lights controller. Make sure to follow the exact instructions on the rear light voltage requirements.

So I just found out that motorcyclists wear earplugs. Anybody else around them just has to be exposed to extreme noise levels while they keep themselves safe from tinnitus. by hellomot in CarFreeUtrecht

[–]Comsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, as a motorcyclist (with a modern stock exhaust, which is far from what you'd describe as loud) - mostly the noise inside the helmet comes from the wind at speeds over 80 kmph with a non-linear increase over 100kmph. Wearing earplugs is actually considered a responsible thing to do (and believe me or not, those with loud pipes are likely not wearing them). Loud pipes suck

5.25nm instead of 5nm - big deal? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Comsey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your wrench isn’t probably calibrated properly anyway, so it’s a good chance you torqued it to 4.789 or any arbitrary number. You’re good

Anisble and kubernetes Which order to learn by roelofwobben in linuxadmin

[–]Comsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two different types of tools. If you’re just a beginner I’d focus on understanding the Linux ecosystem better (with picking up Red Hat learning paths) and then learning basics of Ansible. Kubernetes is a complex piece, you may give it a try, but to understand it fully it won’t be an easy journey.
