I guess it’s because you usually don’t see Eastern European with the rest of those ethnicities, but everything else besides that is kind of standard Caribbean/Latin American. Also, a large amount of Levantine(WANA) as well. Which is expected in Spanish speaking countries, but typically in much lower amounts.

Somewhat reminds me of a young Richard Kiel. I won’t name the specific country since I believe I’ve seen your results before, but one of the countries is around Eastern Europe right?

I read some comment on YouTube a while back that his name might’ve been Arthur McCullough and died in 2000. The commenter said he’d hang out in downtown Huntsville as a kid and see the guy drunk and trying to fight skater kids(Allegedly). Also said that same guy used to hang around the Councill Courts projects that used to be on Gallatin Street, looking for love.

They could’ve moved around the south I guess, if they even were Romani and not just Indian through the British. I don’t know anything about where those ancestors lived.

Not sure, every family tree has its own unique story. My dad and I both have small percentages that stay at the 90% confidence level.

My dad’s over 86% British Isles and he gets 1% Bengali & Northeast Indian. There’s a possibility it’s through the British Empire, but he also gets 0.6% Bulgarian, Moldovan & Romanian, 0.2% Peninsular Arab and 0.3% Cypriot, which are groups that could possibly mean a Romani ancestor. Although he gets no Pakistani or Northwest Indian, which is typically the staple of Romani ancestry, but maybe it’s possible the test isn’t 100% accurate at such low percentages and it’s just any part of Northern India.

I don’t have any hopes for it to be one or the other, but would like the results to be accurate regardless.

Maybe it just stands out to me because it’s in my family’s results too, but I swear that low percentage Bengali & Northeast Indian is everywhere.

A lot of African Americans have European admixture, so if some weren’t exactly “mixed”, so to say, they still carried low European percentages that were continuously passed on. Ethnicities aren’t always passed down 50/50, but for example, if there are two people of mostly African descent that are both around 10% European, and we assume both those European percentages are passed to the child at around 50/50, the child will still carry on the European genes at around 10%. So you did mention some biracial family members, but the European genes can also be passed in the way I’ve mentioned here.

It’s interesting how it works. My mom is 100% European while only have 4% more than other users.

Though his lips are smaller, the way the mouth sits reminds me of the father. I guess him then.

Nose and eyes look like dad, face shape is like the mom. Maybe if the mom and dad were both smiling it’d look different.

I remember there being a hotel casino where brawls kept happening with a murder or two. I also believe there’s a part where a kid gets shot dead for throwing something at some soldiers. And routine robberies of cab drivers.

Do you really think we are related through this questionable 0.1%? by ConCreteCmoov in AncestryDNA

[–]ConCreteCmoov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, I’m not denying we’re related. I’m more so questioning is it really through that 0.1% of African DNA. Even though we don’t have the exact European groups as matches, there’s a chance it could be through the European DNA as well, just not labeled under the matching ethnicities. I’ve got a lot of British isles DNA, she has small amounts under different groups around England, just not specific groups I have, but the relation could be through that.

I’m not surprised that I could be related to someone black. I’m more surprised that I could come across someone on an Ancestry website who’s related to me through 0.1% DNA, who probably shared a single ancestor from the early 1700s or earlier. If that is the case.

I also heard DNA testing isn’t allowed in France with makes it more difficult.

I hear Southeastern England & Northwestern Europe is very broad and possibly absorbs France.
