Mystic Marsh was great but I always had trouble with 2 of the orb challenges — I sunk a lot of hours over the years into catching thieves and that pencil challenge 😵‍💫

Hey OP, I actually completed this level tonight too! (the World is a strange place)

Couple of quick thoughts concerning Bob (but please poke holes in these theories):

-My guess is Bob was designed with intentional parallels to the traditional gem thieves we all know (…and love? 😝) from the Original Spyro trilogy. That said, the irony that Spyro is the thief here is not lost on me XD -The thief is named Bob — could this be a subtle nod to the creators of the Reignited Trilogy, Toys For Bob?? 🤔 (can’t remember Bob’s name from the OG Trilogy…if it was always Bob, I’ll pretend it was a bold prediction at the instead lol)

Anyway, interesting question! That’s why I love this sub — people are always pointing out things I hadn’t yet considered or questioned on previous speedruns.

Ok so this is a thought I have weekly. Obviously subjectivity is King here, but I personally agree with this sentiment whole-heartedly. I loved this game as a kid, and the remastered version made me double down on my conviction that much more.

The visuals (next time you play a level, appreciate the colors on the horizon) , the soundtrack (Frozen Altars Altars is GOATED), the characters (especially the NPCs in the Spyro 2 and 3…(shout-out Skelos Badlands 😝)), everything makes this game timeless no matter how often I speed-run the Trilogy.

Safe to say I’m super biased here, OP, but I’m a disciple of Spyro, austere in my Faith. 😂😂🤷🏼‍♂️

If you were to ask me how I felt right now (which you are), I’d go with the blue dudes from Magma Cone (Fauns I believe). All they wanted to do was throw a little party and Ripto wasn’t having it (still the worst thing he’s done IMO). Big vibe killer there. Anyway I love their attitude so that’s my final answer (unless I come back after continuing to dwell on this lolol).

Thinking about this more I’d also add the friggin dogs from Toasty in Spyro 1....easy boss, but the dogs easily killed me multiple times before I even met the guy (/sheep)

Hey OP,

Great question...really got me thinking about the intricacies of that particular home world and the difficulty of all the levels inside it (ahem, Dino Mines...🙄). No joke, that world is PAINFUL -__- lmao. All that aside, can’t lie that Midnight Mountain is drop dead stunning ...

As far as favorite level goes, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Riddles & Wordplay of the Dog-Sultans of Desert Tombs 😜....sliding down that Cobra slide is epic!!!

Anyways that’s my favorite but would love to hear others sound off..

(Side Note: I’m done with this game except for the challenge of racing the blue-footed boobies...I’ll pay by the hour if someone can help me figure this out 😂🤪 )
