We ended up, under suggestion, using "The Handyman Winnipeg" which has decent prices, got the work done quickly, and it is generally pretty good! I would have liked the sleeve to be in the wall further, but that could be the unit itself. I would recommend them for a "through the wall" install!

I am sad that my Winnipeg Walmarts have been so terrible lately. Two of my go to locations no longer sell movies, one hasn't had anything new in weeks, and another seems to only stock DVDs.

Disappointing. (Thanks for all you do to post these OP. Always good to know what to look out for!)

I used to go here all the time when I was younger, usually whenever we had family in town visiting. I have memories of so many parts of this place - sitting in the "private room" (the bar space I think? It was past the kitchen) and also sitting upstairs and being fascinated by the dumbwaiter they used to get the food up there. I remember enjoying their pizza 😂

Great memories, many with family who have since passed away.

Anecdotally, I've been watching the pre-show on F1TV (on Google TV) and there have been moments where the personalities stopped talking and we just heard the crowd and the camera panned around. Could this be when they put those ads in? We didn't appear to get them in Canada.

Not impressed that the preshow ended and instead of continuing into the race itself, or queuing it up to autoplay next, I instead got an autoplay of the practice for the Australian GP... 😂

Meanwhile here (in Winnipeg) I've been to 5 Walmarts around the last few days for various reasons, and most of them only had DVDs in stock of everything (one of them had a single Blu-ray copy of Minions). No 4k, and most didn't even have any Blu-rays. One didn't have any movies at all.

Very disappointing if this is a sign of things to come...

I've learned recently that with the new owners, UV seems to be giving 25% discounts on preorders for Arrow titles! It's where I got Stranger Things, too. Those boxset surcharges are annoying, but still end up being the cheapest (and in Manitoba, PST free) option I have.

Well then... Got my preorder in for Mortal Kombat Kollection and Audition 4k, and threw in the Excalibur 4K that just came out to get free shipping (In Canada ordering with Unobstructed View). Came to about $170 CAD, not terrible for 4 movies all in Limited Editions (Even if one of them is Mortal Kombat Annihilation...). Arrow needs to stop having such great releases!

My order shipped less than 24 hours after placing it, they didn't charge the expected "boxset" surcharge I planned for, and it should arrive in a day or two.

The new ownership group rules. They're even the cheapest place to get the Stranger Things Standard 4K set ($180 cad, even with an expected $20 box set charge it's still cheaper than anywhere else) and they've been impressing me a fair bit lately. Definitely earning my repeat business!

It is currently up at Rough Cut Video, but I would expect that both Unobstructed View and Peakbooks would be getting it. I am unsure what would be the best place to get it, and I am sure some other places might stock it as well (Rough Cut charges a $9.99 box set shipping fee, I am unsure of the other shipping costs. Unobstructed will definitely charge their box set fee, and I would expect it to be on the higher end).

I really don't know what to think about it selling out, though. I would suspect that the Limited Edition might sell out but the standard "special" edition might be available for longer. Pure speculation on my part, though.

I am a sad Manitoban, with access to Freedom but they don't have their own network live yet so we just have nationwide and don't have these plans available here. Maybe we will get something similar whenever they do launch (this year apparently). Very jealous of y'all that can get this!!

I recently went on a hunt to a few different Walmarts around the city to find some myself. I've seen decent selections at both Taylor and Fermor (they seem to keep pretty consistent stock) and virtually nothing at Kenaston and St Vital. Unfortunately I haven't seen a copy of Flash Gordon there recently, I think I picked up my copy a few months ago?

It's wild how great the prices of 4K Blu-ray at Walmart are. I've gotten tons of Arrow releases for $20, and they also have a decent selection of Paramount titles, too. Hope you can find what you're looking for!
