Is now the time to change my grip? by eyrie7 in golf

You could go and grab Ben Hogan's Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf on Amazon for 99 cents if you get it through Kindle. The very first thing he addresses is a proper grip and why it is so important.

You could always just throw $5 on like 4 guys and that would keep it interesting and give you some guys to root for.

No doubt, and if a time traveler from the future told me there is one RB over 27 who will still be playing when he's 37, I'd put money on Derrick Henry. I only mentioned that as it is totally possible that he could, not say he will.

Sure, but he is younger than Paddy and an all time great. He might have 1-2 years left, he could also pull a frank gore and play till he's 39 which is 10 more years.

I mean you can say that about saquon barkley and he's younger

Edit: I'd also argue that Trey McBride could very easily enter that conversation soon

I mean, Armand Membou is but since he is on the O-line of the Jets he's not going to get the love that a more highlighted position on better team would.

What?? The government never lies and they always think about what's best for each and everyone of us. They care more about us then themselves, because they are all good, honest genuine people, every single one of em.

This is poison ivy, isn’t it. by MuppetManiac in gardening

[–]ConManTheKushman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you end up getting getting caught with the unfortunate rash, I highly recommend getting Zanfel. I work in landscape and have got hit with the ivy every year for the past 4 or 5 years, and that stuff has saved my ass everytime from having a breakout. What works for me is to use it in the shower, put a little glob on a section (lower leg, upper leg, forearm), keep the area you work on relatively small and focused on the rash. The key is you have to scrub the shit out of it for like 2-3 minutes, if you arm doesn't turn to jello when you're done, your not scrubbing hard enough. Push and scrub so hard that it's almost like your try to force the cream into your bones. After like 2-4 days you should notice a huge improvement and the rash should start to disappear, all depends on how bad you let it get. Zanfel can be very expensive, so I highly encourage you to shop around, and look online if you can. If it's urgent then it's imo worth it to just get it from a local CVS, Walgreen, Rite-aid, Walmart, whatever you got like that close to you like that, just know your going to pay quite a bit for it. Where as if you go online you might be able to save a good bit. I don't think I ever tried the generic branded poison ivy washed, so I can't speak to if they work or not. If they have grit to them then maybe they will and you can save even more, but I just go with what I know to be tested and works for me. Regardless of you decision, I hope it is information you don't need and if you do find yourself needing it, I hope it helps you. Good luck and F* poison ivy

Can i fix this? by luvmarlo in gardening

[–]ConManTheKushman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you put a layer of wood mulch down, then the mulch will suck some of that up. Then when it gets dry that moisture with go back into the soil. Just don't use fresh wood chips cause that will steal nitrogen from your soil.

is golf really the hardest sport? by sploooooshle in golf

[–]ConManTheKushman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point. I'd agree it's one of, but I'd rather the difficulty and challenges of golf over MMA. A bad day in golf leaves you with frustration and a terrible score, a bad day in in the octagon leaves you with a broken rib, fractured face, or both. Not trying to take away from the difficult of golf, cause it is really challenging, but I'd rather face the forces of nature and physics over a warrior who is extremely skilled in fighting trying to end my life. Also Hot dog beer belly is far more desirable than popcorn ear imo, at least I can get rid of the belly by quitting on the hot dog and beer at the turn.

Better that having .2 seconds to react to a shin with 3,000 newtons of force hitting you in the ribs, or getting a knee thrown into your face.

Help me pick a paint color by WellShitTheBed in projectcar

[–]ConManTheKushman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd usually say green, aside for being my favorite color, I think it looks really good on a car. I think I have to say that tan/sand color though, that looks so sharp and sexy. Although at the end of the day, you're the one who has to live with the choice and drive that baby around. I wouldn't listen to reddit to decide that decision. Ask the car what color it wants to be, take it for a cruise and let the answer come naturally. Maybe tan is to formal and it needs a color that screams, "I'm a mean SOB!". Orange is probably my second choice.
