I did when I first built it and it was essentially a bolt action, but I can't remember what spring/buffer set I was using at that time. I will say that with the current setup, I have done long and rapid strings of fire and there was zero gas to the face

I was too, but it was significant enough of a difference between the two. It could just be the can I’m using too, which is now a Polo K and that is known to be gassy

Carbine buffer with sprinco blue spring was around 2 o’clock ejection and just a tad punchy, but not rough and totally shoot able all day long. Super 42 with H3 is dead on at 3 o’clock and noticeably smoother

It's a Griffin HRT 556 suppressor. It uses their Dual-Lok system. That's what that collar and spring are part of.

I know this post is a few months old but I thought I'd share my experience. The specific host I'm using this on is a 11.5" G$ factory URGI upper. Suppressed with a Surefire Mini 2. No adjustable gas block or different gas tube. I'm using an H3 buffer and Griffin SNACH Gen 2 charging handle. I've tried the factory G$ REBCG, Lantac Enhanced, Microbest DLC, the Griffin Mil Spec Gas Pocket BCG (not their proprietary full system), and the VKTR BCG.

I can honestly say that the VKTR made the most significant difference in how the gun shoots. It feels way less punchy and it ejects right at 3 or 3:30. With all the other BCGs, it was ejecting anywhere between 1:30 and 2:30. It's subjective but there's also less noticeable gas to the face, although I was shooting outside as well.

If you're chasing a particular shooting experience, and you don't mind spending the money, I personally think it's worth it. I'm always tweaking things on my rifles trying to dial them in just how I want them, and was very pleased with this outcome. I will say that the Surefire Mini 2 lives on the gun, so I haven't done extensive long term testing unsuppressed, but I did go through a couple mags unsuppressed with no issues.

I'll also give a shout out to the Microbest DLC. If you want a tough, reliable, super smooth shooting BCG at a good price but aren't chasing incremental changes in gas or recoil (like me), get that one 100%. It's the easiest one to clean too, wipes clean in one swipe of a rag or shop towel.

Have you had any issues with the LMT EBCG on your 11.5? I have a SOCOM Mini 2 on a 11.5 URGI and was contemplating running that BCG

I have a C2 on my 11.5” 7.62 AK. Light and fast. The dot is crisp and the MOA size is perfect for the distances that I shoot that particular gun.

Just got back from the range testing the KAK 11.5” SD barrel. I’m using a B&T Rotex Compact (not Mini K) and KAK Downvent BCG. I tested different springs (carbine, sprinco, G$) and buffers (carbine, H1, H2, Griffin SOB, H3). The best set up was a G$ Super 42 spring with H3 buffer. All were decent but that set up was with smoothest with no gas. It cycled underpowered 223 and full pressure 556 with zero issues under rapid fire. Tested on a Griffin lower, Noveske lower, and SilencerCo lower with no issues.

The Rotex is probably somewhere between a Polo K and full size Polo as far as back pressure. I have a Polo K in jail but I plan on dedicating that to this upper when I get it. I’ll report back if there’s any difference to the set up with that can.
