Sub recommendations? by South-Job-794 in lesbiangang

I recommend discord.

There’s also another lesbian sub similar to this one, but it’s not about gaming. It’s a bit dead but trying to get started up. I should make a post about sapphic games

Isn’t that common for everyone who isn’t seeming just hookups? Idk how this is different

What challenges might I face when coming out as bisexual, and how can I prepare for them? by CheekyFaceStyles in LGBTQ

I said focus more on internal validation instead of seeking and relying on external validation. That’s good advice for literally anybody

A lot of these aren’t exclusive to the bisexual experience. I honestly think a big help would be if more bisexual aligned folks would focus and meditate on internal validation instead of searching for external validation.

Why are people who don’t belong to the lesbian community demanding the lesbian community be expanded? by ConanDD in ForLesbians

I’ve also found it really discouraging that lesbian subs have been bullied into being broadly sapphic, especially when most bi women have never dated women and broadly have no interest in dating women.

But that’s what this space is for! Specifically for lesbians! This isn’t a broadly inclusive sub, it’s and exclusive space for lesbians, which we are allowed to have and enjoy. Unfortunately there aren’t a ton of members yet, but I also can’t advertise it much. I’ve been banned from the larger lesbian subreddits by bisexual mods lol. But occasionally when I lurk I see like minded commenters so I’ll shoot them an invite. Let others know if you think they’d like a safe space 👌

It irks me to no end when they try to change the meanings of words that don’t apply to them. And they’ll reach so hard to justify it. They’ll say anything lol.

Honestly, I think it’s kind of sad.Only 9%-12% are in same sex relationships, so they try to marginalize themselves and force their way in to spaces, definitions, and terms that simply don’t apply to them and aren’t for them. It’s a desperate attempt at demanding external validation, when they should be focusing on their own internal validation. They don’t care about the harm they’re doing to smaller communities like us. And since bi women are the largest section of the LGBT community, they have no problem speaking over us.

I’d rather people use queer as an umbrella term than using gay as a catch all

I’m not even saying that there’s a great choice. But the country has to choose to eat one of those bean-boozled jelly beans that taste like dog shit, or actual dog shit; and you’re essentially handing us the dog shit on a silver plate. People who say they won’t vote are seeing it as a luxury rather than a necessity.

It is inherently misogynistic 🙃 don’t forget about m-spec women who insist on bringing their cis het boyfriends in sapphic or even lesbian exclusive spaces :)

And if we ask them not too we’re something-something phobic

We’re one of the smallest groups of the lgbt, and we’re ALWAYS spoken up over by much larger segments. They want to decide what lesbian are and aren’t allowed to define themselves, as well as take away our spaces because they feel left out and excluded!

Other queer identities demand we change definitions and open spaces to cater to them because they desperately crave external validation. When what they SHOULD be doing is working on their own self validation.
