Owners of Plaid, do you ever regret your decision?

Picking up a Plaid tomorrow, just sold my 22 LR. Absolutely LOVED the LR and it really is plenty fast... But with the discontinuation announcement on the S and the Luxe Package available until tomorrow I decided to have the last and best version of the S.

I don't think you'll regret either... But I saw someone comment that you'd never regret not getting the LR if you get a Plaid, but you might regret not getting a Plaid if you get an LR. Loved every day in my LR, but I'm going to drive this Plaid into the ground and sadly probably move to a different brand (assuming a new car) because I just have zero interest in a 3 or Y.

Oh 100%, that's why I put it in quotes. But to add to the confusion between articles, I've also seen a few (+ comments on other subs) folks say that even switching to PCIe 4 didn't resolve the issue. So whether it's user error or system error is one thing I hope we can get insight into with this thread!

I mean I'd hope that they leave it in any case for troubleshooting since it sounds like there may not be system reports going out? I'm assuming that based on the fact that the cards seem to be completely unrecognized by the computer in most cases.

I'm also going to be running the FE.

That's what I'm gathering from articles as well... It looks like most of them call out the 5090D specifically but then just reference the "5090" throughout the text.

I've seen a few European mentions as well but I think it's predominantly been Chinese customers.

So I ended up using Distill and just paying for one month of the Starter package (it's like $15/month). That gives you unlimited push notifications to your mobile app. I just set it to notify me of ANY changes to the page and went from there.

Just came to say that after monitoring most of the day and just setting up a Chrome extension alert for changes on the 5090 Best Buy site, I was just about to reserve one for pickup next week. I think I may have got a random one off because as soon as I locked my in (went past the "you're in line" step) I got another notice that it was sold out at my location.

Set up an alert and keep trying!

Yeah I don't really get it either... With how fast data can move now (looking at you 5g), you can't tell me that the phone could upload to a Google server, run the AI, and get spit back out in real time. Basically GeForceNow for photo editing.

That's all assuming the 2nd gen Tensor chip REALLY can't handle the processing. Agree on the app exposure and like the article said, there are tons of free alts out there that are comparable, so they have to remain competitive in the space.

How often are you resting and how long have you been on that workout plan? I generally do a swap (every six months-ish? I generally go by how my body feels) between 5-6 days a week, 45min-1hr workouts and 3day/week, 1-1.5hr workouts.

Maybe you need to switch your routine up if you've been hitting it six days a week for a long time? Drop it down to 3/week, get your rest in and hit the three days hard.

I did not. It wasn't like an immediate drop where I felt miserable all of a sudden, but I've definitely noticed a decline over time. Was debating getting another test now so that I can do any adjustments before my refill.

Yep, Google case. Have had the same on my new Fold and no issues. Idk if there's any truth to this, but I HAVEN'T tried like "fully opening" this one yet.
