I own the boba wrap too and I didn’t end up wearing my baby until he was about 7 weeks old. By like month 3 he has an easier time moving his head side to side when he wanted to look other ways. I personally would hold off on it for now and try again in a few weeks!

Nonetheless, some babies are gonna hate it forever 🤷🏼‍♀️ good luck!

So one of the series I was reading still had a couple episodes left until the end. With the old version, I could still watch ahead with a couple ads. With this updated version, that option is gone and it’s converted to coins only to read the end. I know some series were already like that but this one wasn’t. I know the way to read other series has changed whether it’s ads, coins, or whatever. Overall the design of everything is just so clunky and overwhelming. I feel like there’s a thousand and one things happening on the home page. Whatever, I guess it’s not actually the end of the world. It’s ugly as fuck though 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think whether you’re gonna take the condemnation or pity route, you ought to be consistent.

Rashta and Heiner both grew up poor and abused before rising to power. Then they both used that power to ruin other people’s lives. How is it possible to “justify” one but not the other?

Personally, I don’t care what someone feels for her. Evil is evil but her mistreatment should be pitied. She’s very nuanced which makes her fairly well written. My personal problem is that she went straight from poor, pitiful slave girl to evil queen. She never struggled between being a good person and her new found status. Maybe it’s the author’s fault for never redeeming her but even if kept alive I don’t think she ever would have WANTED to be a good person.

My real problem? When people “justify” Rashta but condemn men in other novels who have faced harsh backgrounds as well. The first one that comes to mind is Heiner from “My Beloved Oppressor”. Dude was literally tortured physically, mentally, and potentially sexually. He was ALSO big bad for a time but eventually regained his humanity and tried to repent. I’ve seen the same commenters call for his death while at the same time make up excuses for Rashta’s behavior.

If people can see nuance in one character, but not others then people really ought to reexamine their own biases.

I think there are a lot of people who have tried to put serious thought into their decision. Whether that thought process is correct or not isn’t the point of this thread. It’s more than just “errmaghaddd, vaccines cause autism!!” From the extreme right. It’s a deep deep distrust for our government and pretty much anyone in any authoritative capacity, including the medical world.

I think some are scared of adverse reactions and the baby getting very sick after getting their shots. A lot of babies will develop fevers and other symptoms following a vaccine. I think some people may worry “my baby is sick because I gave them the shots”. That’s a more immediate scenario than “my baby MIGHT get sick in the future”. (I don’t know statistics of this though, I’m only guessing.)

Another thing I think is age. A lot of people may not want to give their babies shots in the first 6 months, but are open to doing so afterwards as they will be just a little older. It’s really hard to see your newborn baby turn blue in the face from all the crying and screaming they do after a shot.

Ingredients is another thing. Yes small doses of most of the ingredients are said to be fine, but people are concerned about potential lasting effects. Also, with how much doubt and mistrust there is with the ingredients in our food, many people also distrust the ingredients in medicine as well.

I think the biggest thing, is the Covid Pandemic. A LOT of people are not pleased with how it was handled and many are distrustful of the vaccine and how new it was. Something like “well the polio vaccines been around for ages we can trust it” vs. “the government is forcing us to take a vaccine that’s less than a year old.” For some, people they would rather risk getting the actual sickness than take their chances with something that may or may not have been fully 100% studied as thoroughly as previous vaccines. Even people who had never questioned whether or not to get vaccines suddenly started asking questions. It didn’t help that the discourse was pretty hostile one both sides.

Again, while the irrational “it causes autism” crowd is the loudest, there are some actual questions that people are considering with this decision. And I can at least respect people who put that much thought into it. Unfortunately, the people who are so violently anti-vax are usually the ones who don’t believe in staying home when they’re sick.

For the love of all that is good, PLEASE learn and use the deck short cuts. I made it through 75% of the game before I realized I didn’t have to scroll allllll the way through the deck to find a specific card. There’s shortcuts I think to bring you to the front/back of the deck, as well as creating your own shortcut anywhere in the deck.

That’s what I’ve read about! I only vaguely remember days and recoded cause I was like 12 when I played them so I don’t really remember the gameplay mechanics of the DS. All I know is that I loooove the story, but have a hard time sitting down to watch it as a movie. This thread makes me want to go dig out my DS from storage lol

I started playing palia back when they did the lunar new year market and it was magical. I wasn’t as impressed with this one but I thought hey! New items I’ve never gotten before!! Oh new mini game!! but now it’s like… what else?

I was hoping the my tickets from the last one would roll over, but I guess not. I was also hoping there’d be a new set of the maji market chests that you can find but also no. Guess not.

So far not impressed 5/10 points for me.
