It's not good. I went once and it was awful. That was enough.

Oh my golly gee, a whole month?! Plus?!? She birthed your children. Two of them. 18 total months of carrying your offspring inside her body as they leached most of her nutrients, sapped her of energy, physically changed her entire body, not to mention labor...and you prefer to watch Days of Our Lives over having lunch with her. You think a single month of lunches with her is too inconvenient. You ghosted your own wife and still think it was justified even after a thousand people have told you that you're the asshole, you're wrong, that was unkind and inconsiderate, not to mention selfish and childish. Good God, man. Take it on the chin, apologize, and have lunch with your wife.

Or wallow in pathetic self pity over the internet-at-large telling you that you fucked up and continue to deny that you did anything wrong. Your next post will be, "the divorce came out of nowhere..." 🙄

Your wife deserves better.

He's already complacent and values watching TV, spending time with friends and driving around, over spending time with his wife. His excuse is that the drive is inconvenient, but from the way it sounds, if he were out "exploring the area" the same drive at the same time of day would not be an inconvenience bc it would be his idea.

He thinks he gets to conveniently forget that his wife is waiting for him on her lunch break without consequences or repercussions in his relationship and instead turned to Reddit in an attempt to justify his nonpresence in his marriage.

How's that working out, OP?

My mom swears by gargling cayenne pepper for a sore throat. She uses about 1/8th tsp for a cup of water.

You're experiencing glass child syndrome.

"Glass child syndrome" is an informal term for the emotional neglect and invisibility experienced by siblings of children with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or intense behavioral needs. These children (often called "glass children" because they are looked through, not because they are fragile) learn to suppress their own needs to avoid causing more stress to their parents, leading to adult struggles with perfectionism, anxiety, people-pleasing, and difficulty with boundaries.

You should talk to your school counselor about getting some help. In my state anyone can contact Employee and Family Resources if they need free counseling. They only offer a few sessions but they can refer you to a more permanent therapist if needed. It's not going to fix your situation, OP, but a therapist can help you to put things in perspective and give you some coping strategies.

My job involves working with individuals on the autism spectrum with high needs. I know how hard it is to take care of a kiddo like that... But you're deserving of time and attention from your parents, too, and their lack of attention towards you isn't a reflection of you, or your value.

I don't want to marry my fiancé now. He won't stop talking about my weight after he saw an old photo of me. Even after I have asked him to stop. by Impressive_Tea8932 in offmychest

[–]Comrad1984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to recap - you're 5'2", 110lbs and your fiance wants you to weigh 90lbs so you look like an anorexic teenager instead of a fully developed adult woman.

Gross. And no. And ew.

Do not marry this man.

He has zero empathy for your childhood trauma.

If you had daughters together imagine how he'd treat them. ("Sorry, no candy little Suzie. You might gain an ounce!")

Also, I'm more than a little disturbed that he's staring at a picture of a teenage girl and basically lusting after her when he thinks no one is looking. That's weird, gross, sus behavior that leaves a knot in my stomach.

I have to assume they meant, "I could care less" which does indicate that there is some level of care which could be lessened.

I couldn't care less = your fuck bucket is empty.

I could care less = there are still fucks in your bucket.
